I'm sorry. What I meant to say is that I'm sick and tired of being shot by my allies when I'm playing as Chaos or LSM. Also Orks and Eldar. Make Chaos great again. edit: on a more serious note, one of my guildies put a lot of effort into explaining why Chaos in its current form is bland/boring. http://forum.eternalcrusade.com/threads/analysis-of-the-chaos-armoury.61980/ The current options are fine to me personally, I'd just like it to be balanced perfectly so that anything I choose to use is viable/effective. But that thread is full of really great feedback.
Once we get actual God Cosmetics in bulk this problem will be allot less present. You wont be mistaking LSM for CSM as easily. Now hopefully Noah speeds up his cosmetic influx so we could get some.
So many people not understanding the OP. Personally I think fighting the two feels different enough. However the sorcerer in the latest patch has seen a massive drop, used to face chaos teams with 25-50% sorcs now you'll be lucky to see 1 or 2 so maybe throw them a bone or something.
Chaos are the Faction with the most visual dynamism available, with Marks and Sigils showing up on your character and affecting other aspects of the character's look. Not to mention the purchasable cosmetics being (by a wide margin) the most interesting available (though probably not to everyone's tastes). It is just a factor of the lore that both they and LSM start off from a very similar base.
But I like that people having trouble distinguishing friend from foe. Many a times I've snuck trough as a marine or alpha marine thought the enemy while being partially in the shadows and gotten many sneak caps started and killed the fools. On the topic at hand the only true diffrentce of gameplay between lsm and csm is the Sorcorer but there isn't much else as to make things have more diffrent game play between the two factions involves adding entire new gclasses and such like chaos spawns, deamon possessed which takes time to make. Other then that the classes they share are more or less the same but with spikey bits and God fetishies.
I want to say "Chaos marks" but since I don't actually play Chaos I don't know if the marks are in addition to the traditional "+health" and "+armor" wargear, or are a replacement for that wargear. Like, when you go into Chaos loadouts do you have a choice between +armor/+health/better weapon/Chaos mark, or only between better weapon/Chaos mark?
Armor type,trinkets (armor, hp or regen or toughness depending on class )and marks with their own flavor a but the marks are generaly taken over the trinkets
The other races have things similar to marks for the most part though marks are taken over things even though they come with fairly shitty drawbacks. Mark of khorne for example gives you +20 health and a bit of life steal on damage... The draw back you can't be healed and you have no downed state. Nurgle gives +20 health/toughness but your stamina regenerates 60% slower Slannesh makes you move like a eldar but your armor regen is delayed by 50% Tzeentch gives you 50% lower regen delay +100% armor regen speed but -15% health Marks are the only thing that can be selected in the wargear 1 slot for chaos and as you can see they have a fairly substantial boost but at the same time it's offset by the fairly large drawbacks. All marks are 150 lp except the 210 chaos undivided one which is just +20 armor and slightly faster armor regen delay. I usually find myself using nurgle or the undivided one over the rest. Anyway I didn't add them to the list because honestly with how they function they have the same impact on gameplay that other factions wargear has it's very minimal... The main reason you take marks is for some of the unique weapons that require said mark.
