I feel that the people who go out of their way to keep the transport alive or drive the tank aren't getting the exp/points/requisition they deserve. You definitely lose out on a good chunk of experience if you are the driver and I think that you should be getting more points for vehicle assists or points at all in some cases. For example, you are the driver of a predator and someone is in the autocannon. Your predator is shooting at a trukk and it's almost dead, but then out of nowhere a melta guy tosses a bomb on it and he gets the credit for the kill and your gunner gets the credit for the assist, but as the driver you don't get anything because you didn't do any damage to that trukk unless you bumped it with your tank and even then you should be getting the same amount of points/etc. for taking out that vehicle. This is also something that plays havoc when you are anti-vehicle infantry, it's so easy for you to lose out on half of the points because some one sniped your kill, atleast make critical assist be half or even a quarter of the vehicle's damage rather than 90% or whatever it is right now. Protecting the transport as offense can be almost as important as protecting the capture point if you are defense because that is sometimes your only foothold on the map until one of the capture points are taken. It is so important for your transport to be alive and even after you captured the first point, especially on Torias and Medusa since the capture points are spread out so far. So I believe that the driver of the transport and gunner should be getting a defense tick for being in the driver seat. And not only that, the capture ZONE should be extended far enough for drivers and gunners who using vehicles to assault it or defend it so they can benefit from the 250-400 points. This would be fair for the infantry as well because you ought to be protecting the perimeter of the capture point instead of everyone just looking at it, imagine having safe guards looking directly at the safe instead of away from it scanning for threats, it's just not natural. Lastly, I don't see the reasoning of why killing people with vehicles yields less experience. Long ago the autocannon on the predator would decimate, but now it's pretty much equivalent to the autocannon a csm uses plus doing more damage to other vehicles. A guy using an autocannon doesn't get 75xp for killing someone, they can potentially get over 100xp granted they get headshots and execute/kill downed state. It's just not fair for vehicle users since they might be doing alot more work than the one guy who just stands in the cap zone just as it caps who isn't very good at deterring the enemy. The gunner has to kill over 5 guys to get more points than a capture assist and the driver needs to have the gunner kill even more than that to get the same as a capture assist. tl;dr : Give drivers and gunners of transports defense tick like capture point defense tick. Give drivers more points for driver assist when gunner kills an enemy, the same amount of points maybe. Give drivers an assist for vehicles that the gunner has damaged, but not killed if the vehicle is killed by another player. Give drivers and gunners regular points for kills instead of reduced points. Increase the capture point zone so it is possible to guard the perimeter and gain points from the capture/defense tick/interupt and so vehicle users can benefit from it as well. Give critical vehicle kill assists for when you do 50% hp in damage and the vehicle is killed. Ps. Agree to most, except the predator gunner gets to remain in the safety and comfort of an armored vehicle while killing whereas the Havoc with AC has to risk his body by setting up in the open... Risk vs reward is fine here imo.
Dude, so much this! OP, have you tried putting it to Feature Requests? Give it a shot man, i think a lot of people would vote on that shit. Drivers do need some love, their role is crucial to victory if at least half the enemy team aren't noobs.

I must say I grew quite found of diving and manning the guns, to the point that sometime I rather sacrifice gaining points over...having a lot of fun. This shouldn't be. Something should be done about it and if dedicated driver could also name their vehicles , that be awesome. Maybe even have a support class that is vehicles crew. I know that the name of the game is Eternal Crusade and not World of Tanks but I'm sure that it can be improved.
Drivers and gunners as well as ground based anti vehicle personel should be rewarded with special xp as well as mentions on the killboard such as number of vehicle destroyed and lives saved in the case of healer classes.
