  1. As note, im not trying to single you out.

If you do that then I imagine you must use cash. Those companies aren't perfect either. Look up target hacked 2013. My co-worker was affected (STRONGLY) and I was not affected. I can't imagine you going into a bank and speaking with a teller (cant trust the ATM) each time you want to pull cash out and make cash only purchase every time.

EDIT: Hard to type with a cigarette

for everything i find sketchy, i actually have a prepaid visa from akimbo... i can put in whatever money i need to. it gets credited to the account within 4 days. it doesnt have a fee for putting money in or taking money out(using it as a card). if you dont do any transactions within a year they charge you a small fee(but if you have zero balance, they dont charge you anything)

if you use your card at least once per year, they dont charge you anything.

You do realize that the third-party merchant service meets all PCI compliance standards and regulations...right?

I used stripe with my American Express with little hassle or worry. Amex has been absolutely fantastic for me in regards to security etc. Their online account management is also top notch.

One time, and this is a true story, I gave my debit card to a guy in a "Korean Taco Box" Truck to swipe on his cell phone for a coke as I would not buy food from said truck. Do you think his setup was more or less secure than a third party merchant services provider entrusted with untold thousands of dollars for reputable companies?

  10. CVS and 7-11 and most chains except Best Buy and a few others all discontinued selling steam cards possibly due to valve having the worst rating in America with the better business bureau. There has been a big push to remove steam cards from all national chains due to valve policies that have resulted in lawsuits. The only place that will continue selling steam cards for certain is Gamestop due to other reasons legally.
