Ah yes, fond pus ridden memories I have of WAR, I was born there you know. From the ranks of a lowly warrior I rose to greatness until one day I smote Karl Franz a mighty blow and Altdorf ran red with the blood of Empire dogs. I loved the Tome of Knowledge, I hope that a dataslate of cognition would be a feature of this game. A map display of the world I have visited, information on enemies I have bested, kill counters and rewards achieved for my service to Almighty Nurgle. T'would be grand indeed. I shall miss the WAR when it is gone, but my legacy will live on in Eternal Crusade!
You guys will be pleased to hear they are looking into something like it http://forum.eternalcrusade.com/threads/learning-lore-in-game.153/#post-1165
I'm going to say no. The idea was great for W:AOR I won't lie. But it doesn't seem fitting for the style they are going with in the game.
It is your opinion so I won't complain about it but i think it would fit perfectly, it could contain weapon info, map info and details and why not some lore. It would be nice ( it could even look diffrently depending on which race you are )
Ooo, that would be a good idea as well. I think the orkz would have a pretty silly looking datatracker though.
They may take teh concept but make it more to the 40K lore. Instaed of a massive tome like in AOR they might try a digital monitor like in Planet Side 2. Or rather as if it were a Auspex monitor. The detailed description does sound like a good idea, as well as race details. But with all the Lore that exists with the 40K, they may not publish it for the game.
Even though this is a great idea. That sounds like a lot of work required to implement in the game for each race.
