    general update:

    i'm starting reworking all the unit upgrade sistem:
    it'sboring and useless.
    it's more deep and more easy to simply put an "rp" limit to the power and the choise of the troops, when the rp evolve, and the player conquest some planet they gain and aquire the capabilites of field certain units.
    also make unit strong point and weakness less evident.
    i'm also demanding myself how to generate world: random or fixed? i have some random planet generator from FF war 4ok rpg-

    Just let players know how many troops they are allowed to take. IE: Guard General is allowed X number of troops and tanks. Space Marines get X number of Astartes and can only bring so many Companies. Etc. give us numbers to work with, qnd we will play accordingly. Also, no need to limit the use of established Chapters and Guard Regiments. That limits players choices. However, limiting important Lore Characters would be a good idea.

    the current plan is: you have some sort of "slot" like in the tabletop, for now is: 1 slot HQ (the player and the retinue/bodyguards ) 3 troops; 3 fast attack; 3 heavy support, 3 elite, 1 super heavy.

    a slot, can contain unit of the same tipe with no limit, the limit, is the points available for the player (the points increase during the game) a player can rp an endless army of guardsman, with a single slot, for example, the player can rp the guardsman how prefer, decide the equipment of the guardsmen, the world of origin etc etc etc etc..
    the limit are for example, a player can't choose, to take a slot of leman russ tank, and rp as fast moving scout light armored tank unit.
    another limit is the space marine number: instead of take new unit over the 1000 number, take more experience, for exeed the codex astartes limit must be some good rp reason.
    yes if someone want, can rp that some guardsman are from a regiment, a tank division, come from another etc etc (the only limit is the space marine can control "only" a single chapter)
    Lore character are out of use for the players (noone can be creed or marneus calgar, but one can create a character insipired by lore character) because they can be meet by the player.
    the most important thing is the rp, a player don't lose a battle because don't build an army around the stronger unit stat i wrote. A player "lose" when decide to assault the eye of terror without the sufficent support and army size for example.

    SPACE MARINE ARMY LIST
    IMPORTANT NOTE
    space marine army work different in rp: when they add and buy "unit" they in fact add experience to the army not number, they have a fixed number of marine, yes they can be rp similar to black templar but never never reach legion like number max number tollerated for a single player is 5k marine (considering a black templar like chapter)
    you cannot go heretic/traitor.
    all the space marine variant are allowed; you simply rp it no need of different army list.

    space marine special rule:
    and they shall know no fear: space marine army ignore outnumber factor, they are unaffected and they can affect the enemy.
    They are the Defenders of Humanity: when fighting with other army they half the outnumber malus the allied army recive.

    orbital bombardament: -50 health to an enemy army, -100 if the enemy army have defensive fortification use based on fleet.
    Steel Rain: 200 points: your army deep striking, +200 attack bonus+50 defense malus for the first phase of combat.
    Honor or death: you do what is needed for destroy the enemy HQ. inflict 200 damage to the enemy you lose 200 health army, and the enemy army have A:-100 D:+100 -25 to random roll for the entire battle.
    Lamarran's blessing: 25o points: your army regain 100 health
    the emperor protects: D:-200 for a phase
    cleanse purge kill: A:+200 for a phase
