Well, Santa Klaus is (partly) based on Odin bringing gifts to children on his sleigh, so this is strangely adequate... except for, you know, Logan Grimnar going to war in a fething wolf-sleigh, and Games Workshop's tendency for those "I've got the power!" posing. It would look pretty cool in a Squat army though.
I am going to make an Ork Freebooter ship out of that one. Pack it with orkz and give it a nice big sail. ^^ Ofc I'm gonna make the sleigh/ship more orky. ^^
I really don't like the sleigh, it's thoroughly retarded. It doesn't fit at all for Marines, even Space Wolves. A wolf-drawn charriot which is pulling a terminator? Kill one or both of the wolves and, oh no! Your charriot floats to a halt.
You could always replace the wolves with Cy-Boars and put an Ork in it. Then it would be the 40K Hogfather!
It had potential but it looks pretty dumb in my opinion. As soon as I saw the word "grav-chariot", I was out. Weird how the Imperium keeps coming up with all this advanced technology that wasn't around before.
Actually Chariots have been around, at least in concept, for a decade or more. The original Horus Heresy Visions artbooks had a Jetbike-Chariot.
I could get that. But this isn't the Horus Heresy. This is at the end of the 41st millennium. I haven't been in the hobby long but I've never heard of grav-chariots being in 40k. And if Logan had one, you think it would have been mentioned by now. If the Imperium has the technology to build them then why don't we see more of them?
Sorry to ask, but has anyone else noticed a trend among the most recent Games Workshop stuff for space marines? Every single big unit they try to push fits the force so badly, is so poorly descend or downright stupid, that they only work really as ork units. Really, think about this for a moment, and just look at these photoshopped images. The Dreadknight: The Centurions: The Stormraven was the same, and the Jokero looked like a pet a Warboss would keep around for personal amusement. And now something which looks like a Loota's dream pimpmobile. While there have been a few codices to escape this, most of these keep suffering from the same damn problem. Is there some massive ork fan on the design team, or are they really so inept that half their models only work when excused by the orks' brilliant mixture of dark humour and insanity?
Because like Imperial Jetbikes only a handful survive, due to the loss of knowledge after the Horus Heresy. There are far more SM jetbikes (of more than one pattern) in those artbooks, but 40K currently only has one operational and it is in the hands of the Master Of The Ravenwing. http://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Dark-Angels-Sammael So just as the Dark Angels kept such a relic of their Chapter and kept it working for the last Ten Millennia, why couldn't the Space Wolves do the same with their chariot? GW Background is written so that they can do this type of thing.
