sorry for my english but i try to ask this.

if i start with a new charakter i pick one of the premade loadouts and play.
after a few games i get points and spent them in my skilltree / gear.
BUT if i want to use something new i have to create a personal loadout.
and then i cant use anything from the premade loadouts and so my custom loadout is a lot of worse.
so there is no point to use it.
At some builds i have to play and skill a lot to get a nearly good loadout as the premade ones.
Also if i buy a new gun.
i have to create a new custom loadout that su** but with my new weapon.
seems pointless at the beginning...

is it my fault or does this works as expected?

I didn't really understood the question but since no one else replied I try my best to explain.

I think it is better if you use all your 5 slots with custom loadouts. I started with using custom loadouts of premade ones and in time when I got better weapons and gears I updated my custom loadouts.

So you can only change the weapon slot of your custom loadout when you get a new weapon.

ok i try to explain that but i dont know the right translations.

as an example
my orc ballaboy has 2 grenades as standart and a full set of glyphs and those 4 little slots that gave u bonuses. the trophies?
now i buy a weapon (the same if i get a better glyph)
so i have to create a custom loadout.
put in the weapon BUT i cant choose the 2 grenades because i didnt spent the points in the skilltree.
also the trophies and glyphs.

did i do something wrong or did i miss any button or so?

I understood the question;
The point is you compare the Points of the loadout.

Premade loadout starts with toons of trinkets and utility (frags, medic packs,...) wich you do not have access to before you get them with Advancement points.

So, yes, if you creat a custom loadout but have nothing to fill in the trinkets/utility slots your custom loadout will have less Points.

But when you will advance further into the Advancement, you will unlock new trinkets, grenades, utility packs,...
You ll get access to weapons mods in Supply Crates too.
In addition you will learn mastery wich will reduce de cost of your weapons, and give you the ability to equip even more of thoses secondary slots items and you character will be far more powerfull than premade loadouts.
But it take some times to get there.

Yeah but that is realy boring at the start.
You earn points and you dont see any improvements.
the example with the 2 Grenades that u can use is realy bad
You need 118 Points only for that. So u have to play a lot to reach that.

Also it is nearly pointless to buy weapons because i cant use them with the pemade loadouts.
So i got a better weapon but lesser Trinkets / Grenades and so on.
Not very good

It drags at first but somewhere in the rank 3 range your custom load outs start being competitive/better than the presets.
