Let's talk about the Sorcerer.

Sorc needs a tzeentch disc to fly around on. With book in hand. But in all seriousness I think depending on the patron God of choice our sorcs should change their appearance to suite them. And more spells that define them.
    Nether and Deathwish like this.

I do well im most matches with the Sorc, they are by no means weak. My go-to powers are the Flesh Circle and the Soc.

I personally am more of a proponent of toying with Warp Charge consumption first before we buff anything. Currently, with both the healing and damaging taking from the same pool, you cannot excel in both. You either excel in one and suck in the other or be mediocre in both (trying to share your WC pool between the two tasks). Comparing that to an Apothecary for example, who can murder and support all in the same breath. Not saying Apos need nerfing, but our WC pools and WC consumption needs a look-see.

One thing im against though, is forcing Sorcerers into close combat, thats why i dislike the Lash of Slaanesh even if it can really be devastating if used accurately. Honestly i feel like a Sorcerer should be in the backlines aiding the battle with his powers, similarly how an Apothecary with a bolter does now (love that build). Currently only the Stream of Corruption allows you this type of play of any effective level, even then its semi-effective cause you need to always keep enough WC around to heal allies, so you cannot be as potent as you want with your damage.

I know there are allot of people who love playing as Khorne Berzerkers with their Sorcs (i do it too, cause its in allot of cases the best way to aid a particular engagement), but id rather have the option to spec into CC and long range builds. Hopefully when Force Staves come around we can make such builds more pronounced, so that you take a Force Sword/Axe and nova/cc powers if you want to be a CC Sorc and you take a Force Staff and ranged powers if you want to be a ranged Sorc.

Only if they trip and fall while running rings around it lol'ing.

When bikes are a thing, this very well could be a thing also. Here's hoping. I want a palanquin myself pulled by Nurglings. I don't care if it's crap and slow just gimme!
  4. Screw Support.
Offense is why I play Sorc.
And this game won't stop me from being one of the best Chaos Badasses doing it.
  5. More on the Sorc glove and moving another direction as far as where they get their powers. Relics, books and scrolls seems more fitting than "magical gloves"

That's not a Warlock problem, as if you look at what a Warlock is, their focus is war, as in they are completely obsessed with it and burning, slicing and spearing the crap out of everything, not healing. Yes in codex they can have a heal spell, but it is one out of many.

They have said from early development that the Warlock and Sorcerer are suppose to be parallels just as Apothecary and Painboy are.
Both of their swords are the same stats, it's what you can do with the rest of them that flavors the difference, such as powers and marks.

I main Sorcerer on my Night Lord, and I love it. Sorc > Warlock imo.

Warlocks and Sorcerers are very similar, as in their melee is the same, but modified by racials. I can kill with my Sorc just as easily as I can with Warlock, but I definitely feel more durable as a Sorc, even more so depending on how you spec (MoN?)

You think Destructor is better than Sorc options? I have to disagree completely with that, as it costs twice the LP of FF, and it is even more than Daemon Bolt by 50 LP. For what you are paying for you can do with a 50 LP pistol, and I think the Pistol actually does higher damage. So 300 vs 50.. only benefit is it goes through sheildbros shield and it recharges.

Sorcerer powers do just what they are suppose to, assist in supporting the team. FF has good range, easy to use and lets you assist your team mates with that damage from a safe range. Apply to enemies as they come in, maybe switch to heal or instability to protect teammates ext. It is offensive support power.

Lash of Slaanesh is fantastic and the others saying they can't kill with it just haven't put in the wrench time to learn it well enough. It is short range so build to expect some melee in combination. It has a slight stun, so you run in front of a heavy who thinks they have you dead to rights with no where to go? Just whip that a*hole which stuns him from shooting, and either apply more to him or ram your sword through his chest. I am amazed a lot at how I can approach a big fight and just start spamming LoS on enemies that ignore me and just the stun portion alone is all win, but then it makes them take more damage from the guys they are fighting while applying some damage as well, I love this ability. Someone made a great video of this ability which I would highly suggest any Sorcerer lovers check out.

Stream of Corruption again fits perfectly to a offensive support spell. Just spam it against enemies engaged with your team, you don't actually need to wait to finish them off with it, it's actually in your benefit to apply a bit all over as it will give them the effect which makes enemies want to gtfo, has that psychological effect while doing some health damage, but also gives you the assist when your ally kills em. So you can rack up a lot of assists with this ability. It is easy to use, so much that I completely agree with @Saeritan that the long range auto lock-on design is total bs.

So in regards to Warlocks, Sorcerers are way more developed and have far more options, good options too to how the set their build. Warlocks only offesnive power has an insane LP cost which just makes no sense especially when you compare all the things LoS does and it's still a lot cheaper.
