If they really do carry out their plan to make the events of the game "canon", I'm rather certain that it's going to be very, very, VERY heavily embellished.

Not a single word of actual in-game dialogue will get through, xXx360N0Sc0p3Pr0xXx will be nowhere in sight, and Space Marine casualty counts will be ignored completely.

Just hopefully seeing the planet and the wars raging across her surface mentioned in a timeline of something like the next edition of WH40k would be enough for me.

Not sure about it, in 999 the Space Wolves and Dark Angels are pretty busy fighting for the Cadian gate, same thing for a bunch of the confirmed chaos legions and at least one of the craftworlds.
