A Narthecium which applies no poison but does as much damage as a sword. Obviously not available to Space Wolves because it's a Narthecium...
I always thought that the burning ailment was weaker than the poison ailment... Mainly cause the burning has to melt through your armor before doing health damage. I mean discounting how long it takes to apply the ailment.
... Doesn't it take insane levels of heat, to the point of having a land raider redeemer to melt through Astartes Space Marine armour? regardless of how assbackwards our glorious imperium is with its technology without our glorious Lord Emperor? Like ... the sort of heat thats used as a literal heat shield for deploying Terminators? ... GO SALAMANDERS you are the true example of a loyal and serving Chapter of our glorious Man Emperor! ... not those stupid glory hogging blueberries.
Depends on what you want to use it for. The War Narthecium has the durability, impact and penetration of a normal knife/Narthecium and applies no poison, but does the damage of a sword. It will basically do more damage up front, allowing a faster kill against enemies with low EHP and toughness. Any Narthecium with poison becomes the better choice at a certain point when you're talking about enemies with high EHP and toughness - like a Tyranid Warrior for example - I just don't know at which value of enemy EHP they are in balance.
