The news is starting to become available, so I might as well announce it : The Eternal Crusade Audio team will be giving a session on EC audio at the Montreal International Games Summit (MIGS 2015) this November. The website is being set up still so the only info at present is here: http://migs15.com/en/sessions/event/103-the-challenges-of-warhammer-40-000-eternal-crusade
Lol This is old news I wish i could go but school and such, all well have fun there and make some Noise for those who can't go!
It believe it would be beneficial to have our characters yell "frag out" in both audio and in local chat every time we throw a grenade in order to warn those around us. Maybe even say "prepping grenade" while we aim the grenade. I know this should be solved when our squads are on voice chat. But when we are playing with players who are not on voice chat, it will be a warning to help reduce fratricide. We have all at least once thrown a grenade into a room right when someone charges in, or charge into a room when someone throws a grenade.
Good question. It's not clear to me how deep we are going with God marks and their relationship to the weapons. I'll need to ask around, but since our audio mechanics can handle it the only critical issue would be time to sound design and integrate.
There is a bark dedicated to this and it is supposed to be in the game. It should only play when you are with other players. If it does not play then there is a bug that needs to be reported. Grenade Out is the bark name. Thank you for drawing this to my attention. Cheers!
@NoiseMaker is it possible that at one point we can hear the astartes secondary heart kick in when going to critical health status after downed state? So basically a heartbeat with a second heartbeat a little bit offset and half the rate the primary heart has?
Can you by any chance ask around about it? Pretty please? I do recall posting that idea on how each God Mark whisper would sound in this very thread some pages ago, and you said you liked the idea, so im assuming you are fully on board with it. EDIT: Yeah this one:
