    In terms of what the hired actors say, this will not be divisible. I'd really like it if in the future we could sort out a way to assign a formant structure to a character so that when the players determine a text it can be generated on the fly and be accurate (and not sound like a crappy SIRI clone), but the tech for this is still way off (on the planet) so I wont hold my breath.

    Yes! There are times when audio needs to fake it as best as we can to convey a notion of an idea of what is meant to be felt. Sometimes it works really well. In a third person shooter the target is a very different creature.

    I know you're not in charge of the UI or anything, but when the comm rose discussion comes up, you should tell them that the Tribes: Ascend model is the best model to take inspiration from

    Well clearly you need to tell the team to slow down the bolter rate of fire until it sounds good.

  6. hope we will see this in the bolter balance tomorrow
    they should lower RoF, mag size and increase DMG
    same goes for bolt pistol
    but even lower mag size for sure ^^


    sound is super important
    BTW did you found a fitting sound for ceramic getting hit?

    oooh and make sure they reserve a button to let your chain weapon roar up
    this is super important for orks and chaos
    maybe ork weapons should always run on full speed for the right OK feeling

    That sounds fantastic (pun intended).

    If you have time, Ian. I would like like to get some more information on the Ambient sound of the battlefield. I'm a huge fan of this as I believe it adds immersion to the battlefield, is something like planned to be added?

    Hey guys, just some fodder for tougths, the mtl metal (sic) scene is full of talented vocalists growlers, screechers and the like... I was thinking perhaps such vocalisations for the csm would sound awesome! Aka blood for the blood god barked by someone loud enough to permanently rupture any weak eardrums or bladders! I know personnaly a few guys who would probably be interested in participating in such things and give some oumph to heretics and heathens!

    we had this situation before
    so tell your friends to make an example of how they think an CSM should sound and let them post it here
    so the com and Mr noisemaker can decide if this is the way to go
