In my opinion, they need to put a lock on SM faction. Till other factions can balance out something needs to be done.
I fail to see why you think your faction is entitled to as much dev time when they make up less then half of LSM. They could easily all but drop the Xenos if they let LSM que into it's self.
Hate to break it to you, but of the two factions inter-faction conflict might work for, SM ain't one of them.
You dont really understand businisses and companies do you? To sacrify 20-30% of you existing customerbase would probably just seal the closing deal for them. Not to mention that quiet a few of the LSM playerbase also enjoys fighting "they xenos". Dropping Xenos or 1 faction to spend more dev time will not be a succsess no matter how you look at that. Additionally you did not complain last week or the week before when csm or orks had longer quequetimes. Seems you have quiet the doublestandards going.
Player numbers barely fluctuated at those nerfs, don't kid yourself on that account. If the "LSM pop" was less rigid in their complete adherence to only one of four available factions, this problem would not exist. It seems like a lot of Eldars, Orks and Chaos "mains" play other factions, but LSM? Many of them will latch onto their Marines right unto death, it seems. Fluff is to blame for filling people up with this one ultimate cool kid power fantasy, but come on... 40k is much more than just that, and so is this game. The devs are trying to get people to play multiple factions with these events for a good reason. It happens between different chapters in the fluff. Ever heard of it happening between allied groups of the exact same chapters? It would have to be some collosal mishap for chapters to decide to work together, and then suddenly all split exactly in half and go do civil war on a planet that still has Xenos AND Chaos presence. Not that the "lore" argument is even important at this point.
Nah it will be drowned out by the LSm threads asking for Nerf for others/Buff for Lsm and every thing will balance out eventually with a metric mountain ton of salt and a small lake of whine.
Everybody just calm down and drink some water. This shit is ridiculous. Space Marines, as they ever have been, are about the most boring, generic faction you can get in 40k. Why someone would denigrate themselves to ONLY play as space marines, i cant even begin to fathom. That's like choosing to play as the recruit in Rainbow 6 Siege, and never bothering to unlock any of the operators. You are intentionally ignoring, like, 80% of the actual content that exists in this game. Just go play as chaos or orks for a while. Your precious Loyalist barbie doll will still be there when you're done.
I love when people make remarks about LSM being a Power Fantasy thing...like every fucking faction in this universe isn't a damn Power Fantasy. Power Armored Super Soldiers Alien Barbarians who live for war and their thoughts can make shit work Elf Aliens who live basically forever, train forever to an insane degree, ruled the galaxy, super tech, mind powers Super Technological midget race with Gundam suits Power Armored Super Soldiers WITH SPIKES (and some demons) Elf Aliens with all that other stuff, AND SPIKES (and some demons) Super Egyptian Undead Terminators of undyingness Ultimate organism alien/predator race with a hive mind and ability to wipe out whole areas of a galaxy, also claws can cut through the best "steel", etc. Etc etc etc. Let's not pretend LSM is the only Power Fantasy going on here. The only assumption you could make, is that it's the most identifiable power fantasy. No amount of lore/writing/fluff is going to change that.
