Given the fact he had everything from Devistator squads to Carnifexes armed with them you're probably not far off from the truth. Anyway, getting back to suggestions: The Wolves of Horus are an interesting one, especially as they answer the question of what happened to those in the Black Legion who truly revered Horus once Abaddon took command. Unfortunately little is really known about them.
Im really really digg Kaelor Eldar craftworld, very mysterious and not much is known about them, that they seem to have been almost forgotten.
To be fair, the one neat bit of lore he did come up with were the praying mantidae. They were essentially a contingent of marines from the Mantis Warriors who dedicated themselves to hunting down the Red Corsairs and making them pay for tricking the Mantis Warriors into siding with them during the Badab War. I thought that was pretty neat. As for the question, I gotta go with the Minotaurs or the Blood Ravens.
bla k dragons need some more love. really the only salamaners successor that they have. cursed founding that turns thier mutation into a gift? yes please!
Blood Gorgons, one of the only chaos legions that don't serve any of the 4 gods of Chaos. They also are few in number about 300 in their entire chapter, they also own a space hulk which has a daemon machine spirit, which has been tamed by their chapter master, Gammadin. They're not very well known as far as I'm aware of, they came from the cursed 21st founding...
Relictors. All time fav Chapter cause they pretty much turn chaos against itself with weapons/artifacts etc. Relictors.
Snakebites, fo' real. They're some of the most underplayed orkz in the tabletop, but they're amazing at what they do. Most gretchin out of any ork warband. For the same price of a fully kitted out 30 man squad of boys, I can get 90 gretchin, plus nine runtherds, on to the field for cheaper. So what if they have short range low strength guns? If you shoot at something enough, it'll die. Not to mention, gretchin are actually more accurate than regular boyz.
