Well that was kinda my point, the two basically fall into a Chaos Lord archetype and Sorcerer Lord archetype respectively but it was clearly represented even in TT that they are far and beyond these simple callings. Same with the CoA, to quote: "The Chosen were his favoured generals, standing above all others and enacting his dark will" So standing above all would-be pretenders to the positions, possibly other Chosen (though most likely other Chaos Lords as the CoA are CLords themselves). But i digress, i think there was a misunderstanding at the start of this all. Do i want the Chosen as a class progression akin to the Sternguard/Vanguard? Yes i do. Do i want the actual Chosen of Abaddon as a progression patch? No, never ever. Named characters and number limited is more than enough reasoning even if we cannot agree on the power level differences. If they need to show up i can only see them being NPCs in some location where no fighting is allowed (like a HUB), lest we go the path of World of Warcraft where players were taking down lore characters which eat the equivalent of playable characters for breakfast (Illidan, Arthras etc).
That's what I wanted to hear . The chosen\veterans will be a cool upgrade to play, allowing for more versatility after completing a given class totally. I just wonder...: if I become a havoc chosen, will I be able to leave my heavy weapon and take for instance storm bolter and much more stuff instead of this heavy weapon, just like assaulters leaving their jump packs?
Beats me, though i think going from a heavy bolter to a storm bolter for a Havoc would be a downgrade (think i recall the Storm bolter having a lower caliber). But im guessing thats more of a thing to discuss in that thread made for the Chosen specifically, think we already derailed quite allot here.
Naaah, so what But I mean, if you leave the h.bolter and ammo pack you have a lot of additional space for eg: more ammo, more grenades, more med kits etc - it's like creating an uber tactical, which wouldn't be possible in the tactical class in the beginning of the progression. Well, anyway, I guess I ask questions nobody can answer now
only 4? where is the problem? it's perfect for be an hero!!! http://forum.eternalcrusade.com/threads/master-of-relics-totally-lore-immersion-break.21976/
Holy crap. This thread went and got real. Depending on the legions involved, sure, I'd like to see specialist Heroes and Elites. Things like the Corsair's Hounds of Huron or BL's Bringers of Decay and Children of Torment would be awesome to own, easily integrated as just a skin+loadout tweaks, and either unlockable in small quantities as campaign rewards or purchasable through the RT store. Definately Chosen as extensions of the base classes. I hope they're worth using as RP sinks as Michael intended; cross-class gear or increased loadout because I'm quite happy not to play TDA or Elites if it's worth paying to be a Chosen Havoc/Sorc.
Mostly you and Blade. The rest of us just deserve savage beatings I even resisted adding that CoAs should definitely be played as a Marked Chaos Lieutenant/Sorceror unit in 4th. Shit ...
