Except other Elites suck. It just so happens that LSM get a really strong Elite, while everyone else gets a shitty one.
Why? I don't play elder/orks but from what I've seen on the forums there own elite is not very impressive so why shouldn't the counter/point be to level up your toon and get the AP to unlock veteran characters to act as a counter to an elite if you don't want to purchase If we are looking at the entire game dynamic its never seemed particular fair that I as a level 6 with everything unlocked can have a 60 round bolter compared to a lvl 1 that has to use the default loadouts as any they try and make themselves will be shit as they haven't unlocked the items via AP spend
How can you not get Stealth on your Ork? Its in the advancement tree and the free advancement is honestly better than the paid Elite class because you can pick your own weapons.
This is pretty simple to figure out, really. They blew the Possessed release without giving it an aura or special abilities like they said they would and selling it for $25 anyway (on top of the modelling & textures being only half-done). Sales dip, and they have to make it up. What better way then selling a desirable $25 DLC to a high-population faction? I also want to take bets: how many agree that they release it as-is and after they've collected the $25 it gets nerfed? Any takers? I sure ain't spending $25 on something I know won't be worth $25 anymore. This entire campaign system + eternal queues + randomized ghetto elite lottery system is a trashy mismanaged mess. I used to think that EC suffered in the beginning only because the publisher pushed it out too early and bE were the victims (along with all the founders), but after seeing the decisions lately I'm not so sure about that anymore.
That would be way cooler too. Then they could have released them alongside a campaign, with plague marines vs lotd. I think its a shame that LSM gets a ranged elite while everyone else gets melee. They could have done a space marine champion or something and at least then it would seem like everyone was getting fucked equally. This is just unfair.
If anything the kommando should be buffed farther above slugga nob levels like the other two are. After doing a little calculation on the value of 1 point of health and discovering he gets an extra 80 rounds he actually is above the 1,400 veteran point restriction. It is just less readily apparent from the loadout screen. @Kaptin_Pokkets thought I should let you know of the edit since you liked it.
Probably because our Elite is, ultimately, pretty friggin' crappy by all accounts. No Ork player actually LIKES our Kommando, or the fact that he doesn't get sweet gear like the others do. Bluntly, yes that's correct. Every game out there has players who've gotten sweet-ass gear by grinding for them, this is LITERALLY the exact same thing. WTF you think people do in practically ever MMO there is out there? Soooo your opinion does not match what happens in other games. Also if you haven't noticed this game has already been dying. Welcome to how the devs like to work, LSM gets the good stuff and the rest of us get shafted for awhile until they "balance" things. This is nothing new for their development process.
Tell you what, lets make a bet. If the Autarch only has 2 banners going for it, yet has no free unlock. Then I will say this is P2W. If the Autarch is ultra powerful and OP, OR there is a free version, then its not P2W. Sound fair?
If the point is to counter elites by getting vets then why not make elites vet skins? the point of elites right now seems to be the gameplay style they invoke you can't get elsewhere (unless your an Ork), but if these are locked behind month long grindwalls Id rather not have them. Well tough luck comes to mind, I can get red armour in 4 games, I've never had gold armour outside of Eldar, I've never had a 60 round boltor (I still use box mags) but I still top boards every few games on those factions, the starting builds work just fine, if they were to change anything then make red armour free as that is really unfair for newer players. The good thing though is these players cap a point or pick a support so I like how they are never useless. Aye brain fart on my part, I forgot the Orks already have the elite mechanic in the tree, every vet should be like that In an MMO I can get my gear in a single night bad luck maybe a week or two, with elites that actually impossible, due to needing an event to get RTC, events giving low RTC given and no 100% up time on these campaigns, unless you cough up cash, I can also use the non premium currency i've saved up to get what I need from a player auction, MMO was a poor example to bring up they lack the problems I have with elites
other then the pay 2 win thing, I predict people will come to the forums saying this guy is too weak when whole teams focus fire him down.
