I'm always amused that people keep crying "OH THE ELITES ARE PAY-TO-WIN", even though you can earn them for free just by participating in campaigns. Yeah it'll take awhile longer than just coughing up a bunch of hard-earned cash, but why are you all so eager to throw away real money on stuff for this game? Quit your bitching. Elites are gonna be awesome, that's why they're ELITES. Deal with it and earn yourself your faction's own Elite.
Abaddons Disgrace does nothing. The small fire ailment does almost nothing to change TTK, its still going to kill you in the same 2-3 shots just like a master crafted autocannon would. People complain about the Abbadons Disgrace in a current context on the principal of the matter, and for reasons unknown they don't talk about the Sternguard much while I feel its special aspect of extra ammo is actually more impactful. Converly 10 damage per shot increased on a weapon that does 38 damage base is a HUGE increase in damage. Lets say a bolter takes 10 body shots to kill something (non-eldar), 10 extra damage per shot would likely change that to around 8 shots. We are literally talking about a 20% improvement in TTK, compared to the Abbadons Disgrace which for most situations provides ZERO increase to TTK. I was all for "wait and see" on the Kommando and I went out and bought it immediately, did testing on its damage numbers, how its stealth compared to scorpions, and also how the f2p version compared. I was absolutely disgusted with the Possessed, I didn't even waste my time. Power Fist only with no pistol is useless no matter how much stats you give him. Which his release has proven the talk before his release was right, hes useless. The reused assets aspect and looking sorta shit is another matter that doesn't matter when talking about power. Now with the LoD we have a clear and easy "pay for power" setup. Hes tanky enough to be comparable/better than a MoN Vet while being on LSM, combined with a bolter that brings a 20% improvement to TTK on average. While also having some free consumable tossed in like healthpack and nades. You shouldn't need to wait for anything besides your brain to turn on and go "oh shit". Even if the LoD was completely free and available to everyone, it still should be a huge balance concern. Bolters are already very strong there is no need for a 20% TTK boost on them. To take that further there is no reason to give that 20% inflated TTK bolter to a class that has over inflated tank stats. Want to add an inferno bolter? Fine make it a unique in a crate and make it have a relevant LP cost, or make it an ammo addon and again make it have a relevant LP cost while also naturally sharing the same slot as drum mag. Though to basically just give it to a special class, for free, while also making that classes other stats to the point where even if they just had a basic bolter would already be decently strong is just absurd.
Then tell me oh wise one, why do Orks have a free version? Why are Orks the only faction that get the option to build a veteran into an elite?
So it's ok for players to have a few month long wall where they can't progress to an equal level because you need a specific currency from a specific event at specific times of the week unless you pay more money than the game currently costs? That's the kind of mindset that kills games not help them, these RTC costing "elites"should be skins for free versions and nothing more I never said it was op you fanatic, go preach to someone else Hopefully LSM doesn't get this on Sternguards
Right now this is very factional, chaos is pay to lose with the possessed and I can make a vet build that will beat it any day of the week and twice on Sundays

While true I still can't get three marks on my TA or Stealth on my Ork, weak or not I shouldn't have to grind several months for this content, it should have a free base line with AP or req and the skins RTC, I've seen f2P games funded by whales who are more fair with content and time walls than this, even I can get every weapon in Warframe in under two months, but 4 vets would take many many more
