Lexicanum is the lowest rank of space marine librarian, so it's not just the website, is part of WH40k lore.
Yeah, but... Yeah How 'bout a low-rank Librarian is just telling you the stuff? This would only make sense for the Space Marines though, which means the other factions will need an equivalent.
I like the idea of having a lore-book like they did in Warhammer Online, but I would also like for it to be more integrated within the environments and item-descriptions where you could reference other events in the 40k universe. Maybe have a direct link to the Lexicanum website so players could search for more lore if they got interested.
Friend Directed me to this: There is more than a minute worth of lore but its a good video to start with maybe something like that in game, Sort of how they did it on the site with the moving pictures
we have to remember that there ARE 3 other factions as well... that being said... for space marine. i would be totally fine with the head librarian, or head Chaplin of your chosen chapter educating you about chaos and the other races during the toutorial or possible during the intro Cinematic (typical MMO style) to your character. Eldar how this would work with the eldar i am not sure as (as far as i can tell not knowing a very much about them) every eldar knows their history and their fall. one idea that poped into my head was the maybe the eldar player is one who walk the path of the outcast and is returning to their craft world to follow the paths and needs to be refreshed on everything? Chaos same concept as the SM. they could be a newly fallen warrior to chaos and need to have "the true history" of the emperor told to them by a sorcerer or a demon prince of you chosen chapter. Orks no idea...at all... any suggestions?
it wolud be great for me if for example u can see most important events like horus heresy by seeing it in some other eyes (also controll him) something like a time travel or reliving the memory) (in game tutorials or cutscenes) it wolud be awesome but i knot it wolud be not easy to make and not cheap
