I'm really excited about this game but like everyone said it's still to early to vote for a leader or representative.
im going to agree with you but they don't have the chaos god specific legions yet so were just running off the legions but im sure they will have at least 1 chaos specific leader for each legion..... khorne/word bearer nurgle/black legion something like that maybe
Not a problem as far as I'm concerned. There were a few realm leaders in Warhammer Online who I was quite happy to support for over a year. They knew what they were doing, had recognition as people who knew what they were doing and had a clear line of respect to and from a number of regular warband leaders. As a general rule, if you want decent co-ordination then you also want a fairly good level of stability. Massive changes in the leadership on a regular basis won't help build trust in the leaders amongst the faction. The opportunity for regular changes? Of course. But you want war council members to have a chance to build up recognition and get to know the faction captains and key strike force leaders in the layers below. Not just in a "vote for me!" capacity, but because no matter what authority and influence the game gives you, these are the people who will actually field and co-ordinate organised chunks of the faction on the battlefield. Being able to trust in the sanity and good sense of their leaders will be important for them. Because if a strike force is going to be sent to the back end of the world to guard for the evening in case of sneak attacks, that's fine. But ask that of them too often just because they agree for the good of the faction, whilst which making sure your own strike force gets all the prize assignments...well, don't be surprised when they follow in the footsteps of Perturabo.
agreed just give me a leader that knows where the fighting is! BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD! p.s. sanity...... is for the weak =P
In a Council making a factionwide discission do you Guys realy want to see a World Eater ? No seriously... What you need in this council or howerver we may call it in the end, is a combination of skilled players and tacticians (don't know if thats realy a word, not my mothertongue). You need persons you can lead our troops into battle, but these persons also shouls know why this is the best place to battle, the best enemy at htis point and if the effort justifis the outcome. These guys got to see our resources and should in my opinion also also ask for teams to do pve for resources. So you need to understand the greater mechanics, tactics and you should be able to play the game without actually playing it. But thats just my thoughts. Got to edit this: So lets say you got a Word Bearer Warband (Guild/Clan), no matter where you're from, your leader gets a voice in the Word Bearer Legion, the Legion gets a voice in the Council. This makes 5 members of the Council, plus an additional seat for the Black Apostel. Additional Seats should be filled with fitting persons. This is just an Idea how this could work. Things like this i've ssen working and they worked well. If i am miss informed how war council is or will be working pls tell me.
I wouldn't mind being a leader for a campaign but if i have characters from diff factons i just hope it wouldn't work out to having more than one char as a leader
Someone mentioned that 10 sounds like a lot of people, but it's not. Keep in mind, this will be a 24x7 situation, so ideally there will be at least one of the council on no matter when it is. Personally, I'm looking forward to it, I was an intelligence analyst in the US army, and my whole job was running wars, tactics, etc, from squad level to strategic assets. From what we've been told, the warcouncil will have access to in-game tools like whiteboards (with map overlays) etc, so that we can actually do the planning right. spies are still a concern, but unfortunately there isn't much of a way around that.
Awesome Mate sounds like someone for the Job for me ! Awesome Mate sounds like someone for the Job for me ! And you're right with the 24/7 job. Would be good to cover all the timezones.
Why not have a world eater as a leader there skilled in the way of close combat and know a lot about war when there not fighting with someone.
