Lascannon accuracy issue

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by The-Forge-Dragon, Mar 17, 2017.

  1. Yeah there is definitely a bug since the last patch when it comes to the lascannon. Many people experienced and reported that. bE should be aware by now but just to be sure I might tag @jbregg ;)

Not true. There is a slight increase in spread when zooming. That's what's leading to missed shots where the lascannon unzoomed has a 9.7/10 hitrate.

I don't seem to have an issue with it except it seems a bit light on how far it can target now but might just be imagining that. I downed a shield bro earlier with it in CC and a few snipers from afar while on tank duty. o_O
  4. It only is an issue when your are below the enemies ground. If you are on a even height or if you are above it is not an issue.

Had a lascannon hit someone dead center in the chest and no vaporizing.

Still is. Your shots can hit to the side or above the target and still miss.

The real issue starts to become apparent at anywhere between 300 meters to 500 meters. The scoped in hits on a target have a hit percentage of about 43% while the unscoped have a hitrate of 96%. If this was only present on the normal lascannon I could accept that it's just how they're choosing to combat lascannon sniping but the burning light was wrapped up in their change then. Like others have said, it's also worse if firing at someone from below.

Any orks out there can confirm this issue on the Zzap Cannon? Bit busy today so if not I'll have to find the time later.

Yeah I noticed it today on Ronan. Its a bit odd that a gun which requires locking on to a target just to be able to fire having a miss rate.

The answer is honestly to just remove the scope in my opinion. Making it into a vehicle weapon that can then be upgraded with a scope. It'd give me something to pour some points into on my lascannon build. Who needs armor when you're at 300m from the enemy?
