No, playing on EU server from EU, i just tp myself everywhere and no it is not the connexion. I can only play "normally" on US server
Oh shit that's horrible! 80ms! how did you cope? *insane australian cackle* Jokes and my shattered sense of compassion for people with ping aside, the lag has gotten somewhat better recently, (at least for me) though yesterday I had a 400 ping game so maybe it is getting worse since the patch.
Yeah... this is something that should not be happening with 80 ms... it's server side latency from what I can see.
The delay seems almost negligible to me so I'd have argued that that should be happening with 80ms, but I've sourced a second opinion and it seems more like that delay is in the realm of 200-300ms. No idea how they've gone backwards with this patch though, or why it's reporting the ping incorrectly, though they changed how ping is shown in a recent patch so it may just be that screwing something up.
I've noticed I often have terrible lag at the start of a match, but if I die once and change my loadout it goes away for the most part. Coincidence? Probably. Try it out and tell me if it does anything.
Oh man, I wish that when I used a PF it worked like that. Instead that little sidestep you made would have me miss completely and I'd get spun around with jitter-cam. The latency numbers do seem a little higher of late, and the moments of jankiness so seem a little more frequent - but I've been playing melee a lot lately, which seems more affected by latency. I have noticed that hit detection seems a little off on ranged though, needing to put a few more round down-range than I'm used to.
The last 2 patches has royally f'd with my latency. Was almost perfect before then since EA. Using EU helps a tad but I still end up rubber banding like anything through most of a match. Hope something is sorted soon as it really makes things nigh impossible to play with the way things are in the latest patch.
