Sometimes in the heat of a hectic battle the inner Kharn takes over so much that I have KS'd on occasion but never intentionally, they were just in the way when the blood lust had taken over.
perhaps the scoreboard shoule be removed completly. perhaps you should get xp only for winning the match. (and a little for loosing) that would open new gameplay possibilites . like guarding some tunnel. With the current system tactical behavior is punished with less xp. And headless zerg runns are rewarded. You get the most xp if you run from cap point to cap point as group. (for all people in the zerg group, MAYBE other tactics lead to more xp for a single person) DO NOT guard the old cap point. If the enemie caps it back you can get new xp for capping it again. Maybe if both sides are smart enough you can max that by circeling the cap points without even one shot fired ^^
I'm in ya games...stealthing up...heavy attacking your killz... Hide ya kills, hide ya executes, cause Scorpy's stealin e'rything out here.
Wait, we are seriously angry about people taking kills? In a team shooter game? Personally, who cares, mop the guy up and move on to the point.
Remove the kill count if it's such an issue. Problem solved. I would rather see K/D in the game, but that's just me.
If someone 'steals' a kill from me, there's a good chance they've actually saved me. So I can't be mad about that. Plus I don't care about kills, so long as we win, it's all good.
I'm actually quite guilty of this. I won't lie. It's not out of malice or anything, but I tend to not risk letting my teammates die or get jumped while engaged. So, I end the engagement early if possible. It's not like anyone can see enemy health bars either (@NoahWard that's a nice idea for a trinket. You get that one free of charge ) so I may even shoot just one bullet and land the coup de grâce. Is it wrong? From one perspective, sure. I tend to think being a team player counts for a bit more in the grand scheme though.
