Depends. I've said this in another thread and I'll say it again!

I don't like Kickstarters that are like "Donate x-amount and you get all this actual items in Real life!" mainly because If I donate say €50 to a game. I don't want €5to go towards a mouse mat! and €10 go towards a keychain! (I'm just using example's) I would much prefer for 100% go towards the game. I wouldn't mind if they had say 2 tiers.€50 , €55 tiers that both offer you the same things but the second tier would say something like "for €5 extra you get a bunch of this stuff! so its you choosing to pay extra for the merchandise.

I would be in favor of in-game gear for paying extra...Not pay2win items just maybe skins or even weapons that would maybe take a couple of hours worth of playtime to achieve but you get it from the start

And that is why usually the most stuff is digital extra bonuses ;)

But I agree with the merchandise.... It would be cool if they had like let's say 200 limited edition miniatures, THEN it would be awesome, but shirts, etc. would be kinda stupid because that you can do after you have success and offer it on your website within a small online store....

Yeah usually but I have sadly seen projects where t-shirts and posters and all that stuff was included with a standard price D:

Depends always on Project Company, Team, Genre, etc.

In gaming in-game goodies are better than actual merchandise. If the developers though are a BIG company and want to make a crowdfunded whole new thing, then merchandise is okay because everyone knows and most likely loves the company (would be at chris robert's star citizen fine for example)

Are you suggesting a Kickstarter project for Eternal Crusade or for an off shoot for a new 40K game?

I am grateful too see a site like Kickstarter help many projects get funded, especially games. But if your suggesting Kickstarter as a means too support Eternal Crusade, I think that's more for the Devs to decide on.

Why do ppl keep using "Kickstarter" please use "Crowdfunding" yes kickstarter is hugest platform for crowdfunding especially with games, but nobody wants to drill down on a platform (except you want to then please emphasize so)

But here is rather discussed to use Crowdfunding campaigns for ADDITIONAL features where the team has no funds for or would be waaaaay to expensive to be not additional funded from outside.

Though this discussion shifted already to "okay just let them put up more funding packages instead of crowdfund campaigns on crowdfunding platforms ; such as kickstarter"
