I kinda agree with this. Khorne dislikes Psykers, but it's perfectly lore-compatible to have non-Psyker Khornate Daemonologists/True Sorcerers. No I'm not talking about the ones that throw lighting and fire around, I'm talking about the ones that drive their comrades into a frenzy or summon Daemonic entities. Basically like Khornate Dark Apostles, but not quite as proficient. Even when Khorne comes into play, it would just feel wrong for a Warp-fuelled, ancient Chaos Astartes support class not to be throwing around the Immaterium like it's gone out of fashion, even if in more specialized or limited ways. Slap a Mark of Khorne on a Sorcerer, limit him to a very lore-friendly and buff-specific Khornate Lore, give him a slight combat boost and call him a Daemonologist.
I don't think it has the ring of witchcraft. Khorne is an entity of the Warp, his existence and influence is born of the same fuel psykers use to form their powers. The only fact that has ever remained a constant for Khorne is that he will not tolerate mortals using the power of the warp in combat. He, and GW has allowed this plenty, still allows his champions to exude auras of fury and a few boons that are essentially minor buffs to fuel the murder in his name. You're right that this is usually the department of Dark Apostles and Chaos Lords, but if we accept Aspiring Sorcerers are the origin of true Chaos Sorcerers then ... Well, every champion and leader has to start out somewhere.
They could have the Khornate support interact with fallen bodies on the battlefield to collect skulls to amplify abilities or buff friendlies lotsa things you can do really. As I said earlier Khorne has had lots of neat wargear and abilities for the lack of psychic potential over the years.
Sorry, but that's going into the side of Sorcery that Khorne is against. No purely offensive abilities would be permitted. Rather Sorcery that enhances already present offensive abilities.
Exactly, because the Daemons are made out of that very energy they are using, it is part of their personal ability. Psykers cheat, they steal power that isn't theirs then have the gall to claim themselves superior.
but what if this khornate was using daemons bound to tools to manifest these abilities? he may not be a psyker but may use enslaved psykers or daemons to unleash the warp upon the enemy
I'm not the strictest when it comes to lore but for what it's worth; I like the idea of an execution by a Khorne-support triggering a heal. I just think it's a neat idea and it fits with the whole reward aspect of chaos gods. Do something for me, and I'll give you a benefit that will help you do more stuff for me. If you were worried about making sure it wasn't too psykerish, you could make it a function of his wargear. When his axe takes a skull it refreshes the warriors around to help them take more skulls. I also think there is room for the other legions to get some buffs from their supports getting executions, EC could get amped up by a particularly delicious (and painful) execution and gain attack/move speed. DG could execute him with a fast-acting plague, which could either buff their own contagious attacks or else increase their toughness. I have nothing for TS at this time though.
Reminder that the Community Q&A thread #11 is taking Question submissions atm. Posting this message to a few interesting threads, even the ones I start And no, I'm not trying to farm a question based off the OP. Ask whatever you want in the Q&A, just a good discussion going on here
