Yeah that word is the fault of shitty developers. But doesn't mean it isn't a legitamate statement. Plus we aren't even there yet so we can't know if they're lying. Possibly not considernig how dedicated they are with enthusiastic plans.
No because it's early access and he states there that you don't expect that here -.- stop making up nonsesense.
  2. The thing is that Nathan was managing games that did make post launch expansions. I play 2 different non-mmo games that were updated somewhat recently with promised post launch content. Xcom2 and Mordheim. (I'm not sure if the Mordheim content was promised or not, because I didn't really follow the game, but I did notice that they added a new faction.)

Yeah. And the game is pretty much all about (IF he doesn't actually decide to let the community affect it!) how the producer wants it. And the producer is nathan.

Me, nonsense? Can you read ?

'If you want to read more or helps us in evolving the shooter part, by all means jump into our Early Access Alpha, but don’t expect a single-universe-open-world-Skyrim-RPG-with-1000-player-battles. The technology to create that is not yet ready (but it will come).

Until then, we will simply go ahead with a Massive Online Third-Person Squad-Based Shooter in a persistent world – with battles ranging from 5 player co-op to 100 player Fortresses.'

Enough said. You ARE making up nonsense. Also that article is 5 months old so neither of us can still rely on it really. Also MMO can branch into many other things!

yeah thats true ... but you cant be surprised that some people will have that reaction I mentioned,

time will tell the truth as it usually does ... unfortunately it all boils down to wether the player base can survive the "unfinished" launch and subsequant series of finishing touches/additions,

as some people have mentioned there are plenty of games who suffered at launch or soon after launch and never really recovered no matter what was done to it down the track ... and damned few that managed to thrive in such an enviroment

Yeah hopefully the "betrayed" playerbase finally realizes what's at stake here.

Ok, probably problems with eyes in general. Look, it says until the tech for 1000 battles comes we will be playing 100 players fortresses. How many players are playing now on Harkus?

Explain to me how I am 'making up nonsense'. And if the article is 5 months old whose business is it to keep it up to date not to mislead the potential and present consumers wise guy?

we have to remember the average shelf life of a computer game is less then 5 years,

some never make it to launch, some die off less then a year or two .. some slowly dwindle over a handful of years, and there are a rare few games that manage to continue past 5 years and even over a decade,

we all want EC to be one of those rare games that manage to pull longevity off, but the odds are against them,

so unfortunatly many concepts which are aimed for addition later ... even a few years later may never eventuate simply due to the game having ...

    1. lost market share to competitors
    2. failed to retain players due to content
    3. failed to maintain a positive revenue stream

and of course the usual death knell for most games ...

    4. having suffered a massive change in developers resulting in a change of creative direction

Sure, 10 years thing came back then. What does it mean?

The tech WILL COME but doesn't say in the next 10 years!

First of all if it DOES come then they'll do it. Alright. If they're still alive.

Second of all, if it doesn't come, they simply won't do it. And why are we talking about open world here? That thing has been a discussion for a while and is already known to be a lesser of a chance of happening but that still doesn't defeat the fact that there are still more things promised that were released than not released/changed.

"If you want to read more or helps us in evolving the shooter part, by all means jump into our Early Access Alpha, but don’t expect a single-universe-open-world-Skyrim-RPG-with-1000-player-battles. The technology to create that is not yet ready (but it will come)."

    Nice try.

So you can't blame the devs here for technology faults, If they can do it they will do it, that's better than saying that they just won't.
They're fairly damn close to 100 players, 30vs30. As to your second phrase, who are they misleading? The new coustomers don't even SEE that article. It's like saying old patchnotes are misleaading becasue they shown things that released back then but might have been removed afterwards. Doesn't mean they have to remove them, just not show them anymore, wise guy.
