I am not saying that bE is the best, merely that they aren't bad. They are using some very old IP with externally imposed restriction on a stupid fast timeline. No one could meet the expectations of whiny 40k fans who are arguably *the* prototypical whiny fanbase. As a final note, I think comparing any game development to another is a fools errand. Edited for words
I tried making a thread about this but it got locked. The developers, however, are not the same thing as BEHAVIOUR INTERACTIVE INC , the executive board of which you've probably never heard of. On the bright side, it doesn't look like most players are hating on the developers, and are more so frustrated with how "it is being handled."
I will not agree. I mean i saw NEET people into Warhammer. Just like any franchise in the world. But if you Compare Warhammer to Star Wars or Star Trek... I say that Warhammer is one of least neckbeardy IP's out there.
personally i would be relieved if the game gets pushed to 2017..not gonna happen probably..but myeah.
None of this soon mess matters. Know what happens " soon" after launch? Players exhaust what little content there is and "soon" find little reason to return. Then the death spiral of nobody plays this game begins and everyone loses. I never even got to play my faction orks yet, and I have already lost interest in this.
Yup,we needed a god damn copy of Planetside 2 with space marines's skins. That is all we wanted in general with improvements after launch. We bought access to MMO.We needn't superedge brand new melee system right now. They promised and promised and promised and didn't realize it.People were interested in the first proposal of Bhvr-MMO in Warhammer 40k.Lobbyshooter?No,thanks,I've plenty.Give me my money back,oh,you won't.What a pity.
from what i have seen in my local area its mostly hobbyists who love to paint but there was a comic book shop that sold warhammer but they were nerd not neckbeards
Even if refunds were offered now, id still hang in there. I went for the cheapest founderpack so this isnt about the money. But I am also speaking out so the devs hear different sounds than just acceptance. The way im looking at it is i'm an average guy/gamer and I would not buy this game at launch if i hadnt heard about it and did a google search. AS said before, at launch it will get reviewed, and i dont think reviewers after remembering the earlier presentations about the big plans will suddenly feel their heart warm and decide not to bring it up in their review. Reviews that are watched by thousands of potential gamers. Right now in this thread clear to see, there's many people "pro dev" defending it without any proper motivation, insults are slung by mostly them, and then they attempt to tag moderators to 'clean up the mess'. Thats not the way to deal with differing opinions and it isnt helping anyone. Well, perhaps it would help Nathan's migraine a bit by now..hehe
