Weighing in here with the Jump Assault Vet. Extra armor does help, especially because people expect me to be squishy as a regular jump assault. They expect wrong... Can't say for eldar though, but Swooping Hawks are the only jump class with a dedicated ranged weapon and carpet bomb grenades (which still need some tweaking. Methinks in the indicator of where it's gonna drop department. A glowing circle on the ground or something. Hit the button and that's where the nade will hit by the time it gets there.)
Because they are. For whatever reason, bE thinks that Eldar not only need much weaker base classes, but much weaker veteran classess as well, which is kind of exact opposite of what veterans are supposed to be. Basically, eldar veterans pay a double price, base stats reduction AND much lower vet bonuses. Biggest offender here? Full durability Banshee-400EHP. Full durability MoN GA~700EHP. That only leaves one question. What the fuck?
Bruh your forgetting the fact that Eldar all move at warp speed and have a hitbox the size of a servo skull..
I think armour should be cheaper for LP for all factions - +1 armour trinkets should be +10 armour trinkets for same current LP cost. Eldar deserve more Armour in general. Their flesh may be weak but their technology should mean their armour and particularly heavy armour in particular should be on a par with other heavy armour. This should especially be the case seing as they have no 'medium' or 'red' armour equivalent. Less base health still means they will be the squishiest of all the factions but they need a bit more survivability than they currently have. Regarding the Banshee - if there is one class which is deserving of wargear that increases movement spee - This is that class. The Reaper gets it and the buff costs 300LP. The Banshee should also get an option to equip speed increasing wargear - if anything the base class should also be faster as that befits the Banshees fast but fragile ground attack role. Oh and this 'secret formula' behaviour is using to calculate EHP - the relationship between hitbox area, movement speed and EHP - I want to see it. We deserve to know what it is if they are using it to determine faction balance.
At most it is 300 LP. Take a Slanesh marine, that mark is 150, but there is no way that the drawback is worth 150 LP. The Tzeentch mark drawback is health and it is much less than a 50 hp hit. Everyone and their dog that always defend this nerd being too extreme always point to Eldar speed, but yet not once have I ever seen on these forums anyone complain about Slannesh mark marines speed being OP. Not once. I also know there is a guild out there that focus on this. Again no one apparently sees a marine with Eldar speed as an issue but Eldar OP since they have it. Also to add, Eldar melee didn't take the hit like others because thier TTK became unbalanced as in they were sqiushier but had to take way longer to kill enemy than vice versa.
More or less. Slaneesh's MS is valued at 350 LP. Because the Drawback (-50% Armor Regen) is valued at 200 LP. It is possible that there's a 50 extra cost for enabling mark specific things tho, because: If we go through the Health effect (-50HP), its valued at 300 LP. Also there is a speed increase on Reapers that's +.25/+.15 that costs 300 LP. It's slightly worse than Eldar MS (Which is +.33/+.15), but I don't know if its because reaper is already slightly faster and a tax is in place or not. So Eldar speed is probably valued higher than 300? So yeah, I don't know the exact number, but it's certainly 300 LP minimun and 350 LP Maximun in cost.
The Mark synergy of Slaanesh is crap for vets. Despite the Mark being fairly balanced for my purposes Armour is fairly low on my totem pole of stacked stats. I am curious whether anyone has looked at each unit of Armour's value on a faster/smaller class. Being regenerative if you can get out of the hurt faster it does improve survivability through recovery, if not tanking burst. Doubtful it's balanced that way but I would imagine bE can find out.
yeah i once opened up a discussion about lsm losing its racial 20 armor on its tac class and the tread devolved into AC vs SB
