I tear people in half with my Banshee vet. Most of the time the only reason I die is a 1 shot mechanic or if I get stuck on a body... (Dear Devs fix plz kk thx!) I it might just be me but I find I am infinitely more survivable on my Vet. But as I play more and am getting more used to the Banshee challenge build I have I find that even my normal Banshee is lasting longer as well.
bE also double dips on Eldar armors for example the DA armor is 300 LP for an extra .5 sec regen over artificer armor when it should cost 260 Excellent solution, instead of bringing it up just don't play it, do you tell all the sorcerers to stop playing them as well when they bring up the state they are in?
Actually thats what i have done i simply stop playing the game. Only here to see the U.A.T tread of Safreadis. Some time i just come in a tread and throw some shit around just to laught a bit
Just wanna say the hawk got reduced values because people are surviving for too long too easily on a hawk. I saw too many matches where a hawk vet easily survived the entire thing while also being super aggresive and doing a lot of solo work that resulted in one person having way too much impact on a battle. Not saying other faction vets aren't also absurd. A tzeentch bolter tac vet is pretty damn nuts atm, a shoota nob can run through an enemy team by himself if played right, and I've seen plenty of lsm vets living whole matches. Thing is these are all easier to either insta kill or hunt down. Also I think you people care way too much about the vets. I kinda hate what they've turned into and how they cause people to play. I would much rather have had a class with a 3 minute cooldown and way less of a defensive buff.
There's a way you can do that, you know. It's called "playing as Eldar." The run speed is really not all it's cracked up to be. The hitboxes are only an issue for an opponent who can't aim. Given nearly every Eldar weapon requires you to be in close range to be effective, our hitboxes are relatively no different. At a range you might engage another Space Marine of whichever flavour when both using a Bolter, your hitboxes are broadly equivalent, or even smaller, than the Eldar hitbox is at the range at which you will generally be engaging Eldar. Obviously in that scenario Eldar do get the advantage of relatively massive hitboxes on their targets, but again, unless you can't aim, it doesn't provide much tangible benefit in practice.
There are some kinds of vets that are just a pain in the ass and require too much focus to remove. Hawks almost require a setup heavy ambush to kill them and thats not always easy to do. I've seen plenty experienced players struggle to bring down a vet. I always resort to kraks, stickies, and ohk weapons to finish of a vet. Which in turn pisses off the vet player but its what ends up being required.
That may have been in the past. Right now Hawks, even vet hawks, lose almost any straight shootout. A full survival-spec'd Hawk has about 100 more EHP than a normal, everyday Tact. I think a base Shoota can equal them in EHP. So if you see a hawk, just shoot at it.
It's still very possible to play a hawk and last quite a while. The key is literally don't let anyone look at you. You must use all of your mobility to make sure you are disappearing when someone has line of sight on you.
Funny you say that. I often have an easier time surviving on my normal hawk because it doesn't have a giant, glowing "SHOOT HERE" target marker aiming at my head at all times
