  2. Yeah, and I edited in some more.

    Question: is there a "dev tracker" tool handy anywhere? Or do we just need to follow each of them?
  3. Judasilfarion Silfarion Drill Abbott

    There used to be a dev tracker a long time ago, but not anymore. I believe it was player run.
  4. I think developers are starting to find their stride in these twitch shows. They're spending less time with awkward jokes and pointless conversations and spending more time constructively. Today's twitch felt more structured and I even enjoyed almost all of their jokes. Brent, Nathan & Katie felt more relaxed and chill. They had a quiet confidence that I really connected with.

    Not only that, they finally mentioned and addressed many BIG concerns such as blinding Effects or nauseatingly shaky cameras. Plans for changing standard instances and objectives (which was one of my questions) and vocalized their plans to fix and change issues that players have been complaining about for a long time.

    Event though its been almost a month and they didn't have any visual content to show off, I actually was more impressed with this twitch show than any other. I hope this becomes the standard for future twitch shows.

    @BrentEllison
    Keep doing what your doing dude. You always get to the point and vocalize it clearly and with a serious attitude. Whenever your speaking I always lock on to what you have to say. Bravo.

    @Oveur
    Your spending less time on long drawn out awkward jokes and more time staying on topic. When you do tell a joke its not overly distracting or time consuming from the main topics. I still feel like your spending too much time addressing trolls in the community that have no constructive material to elaborate on. I still think your doing great.

    @KatieFleming
    Always on topic, and always keeping the agenda moving forward. The only constructive criticism I have is that when you do giveaways and contests please make sure you resolve the content a minute or two after announcing it. Sometimes (not always) you'll drag out giveaways for 5 minutes or more.

    Great twitch you guys. Solid performance and great job.

    Never watched the Twitch stream before, and I didn't watch it live, but this one was packed full of useful info.

    Not all of the things I've listed are coming in the next update, so check the stream, but of interest to me was...
    • Wanting to scrap the vehicles and redo them from scratch - they sure do need to react better to gravity and there are far too many snags on the maps, especially for the Predator sponson guns as they stick out the side and clip any bit of scenery. I think the maps need a thorough pass for snags and scenery/obstacle placement as well, though they didn't specifically mention that.
    • Loadout stations in the battlefield (not next patch, but an intent + adding them to vehicles possibly) - being able to change class on the fly is better than redeploying
    • LP cost scaling changed to be linear - as I understood it (correct me if I misunderstood it) +25 whatever costs 50LP and +50 whatever would cost 100LP rather than 120LP, so you don't get that +20LP luxury tax on the stronger item. Devs believing this would make tuning easier and make just make more sense.
    • LP cost changes in general so loadouts are better and you aren't locked out of the utility you need
    • Stock Loadout changes so a new character/player has access to the items, rather than having to wait until you've found/earned them all by around level 3. You'll have those items, that previously you had to earn, in your inventory to create custom loadouts as you see fit.
    • A Respec because they are changing the Advancements
    • A fix for the Eldar grenade screen shake (man, that was an annoying bug)
    • A new Snowy Map - My Apothecary can be more stealthy because White Armour is a bullet magnet
    • Tackling Veteran Halos, and presumably other races Vet Bonuses, to make them not feel like an expensive waste of advancement points and LP
    • Talk of a new more open war zone, thin on details and delivery date but sounded interesting
    They talk about a lot of other stuff too, so it's worth checking out. Campaigns, class changes, weapon changes, penetration normalisation and a bunch of other things I cannot remember to list. Edit: Mods on RTC weapons, turn speed improvements, JPA changes, Sorcerer Melee changes, Poison and Heals to Poison changes, Terminators (not soon but in the process) and still some other things I've forgotten right now.

    I would rather they did not waste time on the Twitch chat trolls, which they didn't do too much (though zero time on them would ideal in my opinion), and I am glad they focused on the forum questions first. They answered some of the Twitch chat questions later on, but the chat speed makes it a very hit and miss approach to answering player queries.

    On the fly answers to on the fly questions rarely give useful info. Yes I'm biased because I use the forum, but answers the Devs have had time to investigate and prepare based on forum posts people have given time and effort to discuss are much more useful IMHO.

    A lot of changes! I don't really have an opinion yet, I'll wait to see the overall effects of the changes before I give any opinions. I am happy that they are addressing many of the issues that players are screaming about.
    I was really hoping that they would say something about the weapon models and if they had any plans to make them skins but since they are allowing mods for them I suppose I'll just see how that works out.
    I'm kind of sad that they plan to nerf the JPA but I guess if it's been a problem for most players then it needs to be addressed.... I am actually one of those guys that jumps into a group of enemies and cuts through four or five opponents and then jumps off leaving behind a grenade as a farewell gift. I thought that I was actually getting pretty good at it but apparently I was just OP and needed to be nerfed.

    That's exactly why we changed the order. You don't have to stick around for the rest of the shenanigans.

    Forum questions are recent, valid and are for the current state of the game.

    Asking in chat if we'll have Necrons is not.

    We'll change more to improve but we've done this 95 times now and game development is damn slow so sometimes, there is little to show and tell but we had more detailed info in the production update. And yes, I didn't interrupt him with many followup questions or bad jokes, because that was intentional. There are no questions from chat till after production update and forum submitted questions.

    And those that don't like my jokes will get banned*

    *That was a joke from hell

    And now we will have 90 pages of how the joke was told to go to hell.

    So any news about campaigns and matchmaking?
    For me campaigns are most important thing now and with matches starting 8 vs 4 even if they implement them there is no chance they could work.

    Cheers guys, thanks for the comments!
