It's official, we're no longer OP

And yet, a handful of people's anecdotal evidence was the driving force behind a million eldar threads.

Orkz are winning matches now. Orkz are winning matches against eldar. As an eldar player, I can attest that fighting against orks is no longer easy.

What the fuck else do you people want? Can we have one fucking thread without a "b-but eldar OP!" retort? For fuck's sake. This was meant to be more of a "GG orkz" thread, but I can't even have that.

  2. What? A map representing the state of all games played over the last 3 weeks showing 2 continents completely blue and a 3rd 75% conquered is "anecdotal evidence from a handful of people"?

    Are you serious?

I'm not asking for anything other than solid proof which we don't have yet. I won against Eldar in patch 22 and 23, doesn't mean you guys weren't over performing AT THE TIME.

You can't make this thread yet until the maps actually update and show what's going on. We have zero data right now.

I never said Eldar OP either, that was you over reacting. Chill.

And the map is not reliable data, as there are variables outside of stats that can lead to victory (not just skill, but player counts, map disparity, and sheer luck as well). The only true stats that can show the state of balance are total damage output, kill counts, time survived, xp gained, etc. We don't have those stats, and the devs do. That's what makes this discussion so tiring, because everyone is pretending that they have this hard data that proves their point, when they have nothing at all but their own experiences.

The meta for this game changes with every patch, and for the past month or so, that has been once a week. We are going to be flooded with new players soon who won't even have that much to work with. For instance, how often do you see full heavy tanks, or transports staying mobile? That's something so rarely used but so incredibly powerful, and changes the flow of a game dramatically. Just from that point alone, that's a distinct facet of the gameplay completely ignored by the community. We're supposed to infer balance from our experience when the majority of us don't even use all of the tools available?

I'm so tired of this argument because no one's ACTUALLY looking at it objectively, because if they did, they would just stay out of it and leave it up to the devs.

You seem to forget that Chaos was in exactly the same position as eldar, having eliminated all other sides in their zones except for the ones where they where fighting eldar. TBH eldar seemed to have much more organized guilds at the time as well which I believe was a big part of it, the guild I play in almost never ran into an opposing chaos guild but typically found ourselves beside a squad or two of a fellow eldar guild.

When we DID encounter a chaos guild we often got violently stomped, or had a very down to the line type game and narrowly pulled a victory out.

    patch 25 marine> orks> eldar > chaos ?

Maybe. It's the problem wit asymmetrical games, it's almost impossible to balance them 100%, so always there is an "OP" faction or weapon. One patch is A, another patch is B, one patch melee rules, another one the heavy bolters.
  7. but there is a ground in the middle where the imbalance is'nt very noticeable

  8. dont see many tanks because meltas in general take them out relatively fast
