  2. Thanks for clarifying. Sometimes its hard to tell if someones being mean or if they are genuinely arguing their point in earnest. I appreciate that <3

Oh no, i dont think SM needs a buff at all. And I dont think nerfing eldar hp or toughness is the answer either. I'm seeing more imbalance in animation speeds and the invulnerability frames involved. Also range of melee attacks and recovery time from effects or immunity to stuns.

With a race that relys on speed, even a slight adjustment in animations can mean the difference between nigh untouchable and a good asymmetrical balance. For example, ive landed probably four dozen defensive bash kicks on eldar since patch #23 and it does nothing(i dont have this problem fighting any other faction and its been confirmed by my entire guild). Ive clanged my powersword on a dire avengers back as he runs immune to my perusing attacks. Melee attacks vs more powerful equivalents that arent stopped by the opposing force of the weapon. Stuff like that.

I think the space marines are in a good spot. They may even have some OP items compared to other races, but the world map shows a very obvious trend towards Chaos and Eldar being strong, with all the guilds SM has and how often we all win matches, that should at least balance things out a bit. Sure alot of the new guys go SM and that makes them lose games here and there, but there is definitly a trend.

OH! and as a last note, with the old hitmarkers gone since patch #23 its harder to tell if you landed your shots, so that could totally attribute to things.

Its the melee build that can cap I think, they fair a lot better in enclosed spaces, where all of the points are located.

So, everyone would agree with this proposed changes right?:

    - Reduce damage of Wave Serpents
    - Reduce Health of all Eldars
    - Reduce the Flying speed of the Sweeping Hawk
    - Shuriken cannon to be toned down with all the other Heavy Bolter equivalents
    - Break stealth for the Striking Scorpion when interacting with objects(Mainly to stop Stealth decaping)

Regarding the melee speed of the Eldar. The stats don't support the idea that they are faster and if you try out the Banshee doesn't really feel faster than other Power Sword users. Maybe its an issue of the "feel" the animations give. The Banshee strong attack doesn't feel like it has much weight behind it, while the Power Sword strong attack from SM/CSM does feel like it carries a lot of weight.

This would be perfect in my eyes. Make the trinket around 30lp, 10-20 too little, 5o too much, at least by my opinion.

Wave Serpents will be fine once all the changes to HB's and SC's are done. They will likely get a reduction in armor damage, as well as some longer range damage and accuracy tweaks. Once that happenes, Wave Serpents will be fine because their SC's won't be erasing tanks off the board completely, but they'll still be able to erase infantry that get too close.

I'm down with an Eldar reduction in health, like was said before 160hp with a 170hp trinket is good to start. Then they can be buffed/nerfed from there. Though 160hp sounds pretty solid to me.

The flying speed to me is fine, it's the distance. Devs already stated they are tweaking the Hawk's flying, so we'll see what they do first. They will likely reduce distance, again I feel the speed is ok though.

Well yes, the SC as well as HB, probably the AC, and maybe the Plasma Deffgun are likely all going to get some adjustments.

One part of me really wants the decap to stop invisibility on the SS, because it's stupidly annoying. I don't really feel it's needed, I mean it isn't totally gamebreaking to me, so they could leave it in. But holy fuck is it annoying.
  7. It is 30lp for both trinkets that give the 10 hp boost.

I made a similar little test.
Let us leave aside the Eldar movement speed and their agility.
I can say that the time of strong attack charging same with power sword but difference in distance.
So marines power sword 8 m, eldar power sword 10 m. Data may be inaccurate, but the difference consists in 1.5-2 m
Another point is in unreadable animation of Eldar strong attack. Unlike the Mariners in combat against Eldar their animation feels a lot worse. And here we can add speed and agility of the Eldar what makes them the strongest faction in melee in the current patch.

Yeah, but I want that 1ohp boost to be one item. Unless you think 2 is better? I don't know, I'm weighing the advantage of only taking up one slot, with the advantage of having 2 cheaper items to fill a slot if you have an extra 20-30 lp to throw away in your loadout.
  10. 1. Reduce the damage of the wave serpents: I think reduce damage to vehicles mainly, it seems to be in a fine place vs infantry, it should be a heavy bolter equivalent. I know its suppose to be twin linked shriken cannons but thats just too strong vs vehicles adding up two SC's. Unless they want to make the Shriken cannon weak vs vehicle, which i dont think they should.

    2. Reduce health of eldar: We gotta be really careful about this. because they already are at a disadvantage in this area. I think theyre fine where they are. After all most of the aspect warrior classes in lore and TT have SM equivalent armor and toughness or better

3.Reduce flying speed of swooping hawk: YES! It can fly across an entire map in nearly an instant, and people definitely take advantage of that. Most of the swooping hawks I kill are careless or disoriented because theyre flying so fast they hit a wall or something. Something faster than the old speed, but slower than the current.

4.Shriken cannon needs to be toned down w HB equivs: I both agree and disagree with you. The devastators are clunky slow and completely helpless against melee. They need a stronger ranged weapon than any of the other classes and tankyness. Right now they are a forced to be reckoned with. Maybe tweak it down a little, but a Heavy gunner should be at the core of every functional squad.

    5. Break stealth w striking scorp when interacting w objects: YES a million times. I think its downright silly that my guild and others literally nominate a shieldbro to waltz around the point over and over to make sure no stealth units are decapping it under our very noses.
