Is This Still Coming To Xbo/ps4?

No offense to behaviour but if Microsoft and Sony agree to a cross platform playerbase and to patch parity i will be very surprised. Not to mention getting them to agree to an exemption to PlayStation plus and Xbox Live for at lest the free to play components.

It would be amazing if they could get it and very good for the player population but these company's almost never agree to any one of theses things let alone all at once. I suspect if the game comes to console it will be a while after launch on pc and may only be on one console. The only way i can see it coming to both is if the game gets really big on pc and they both decide that they need it on there platform.

there are also a number of complicating factors such as planetside 2 coming to the Ps4 and Microsoft may decide to move more heavily into the PC gaming market making steam a competing game distribution platform that they dont want to support.

1 of them will agree, and I bet that 1 is gonna be Sony, M$ can j%@*@# with their Xbone for all I care.
  3. Nah they wont allow exemptions for the free 2 play, its not as if its an online demo, its part of the actual game, so it'll require PSN/LIVE for sure. Besides who doesn't have PSN/LIVE and is interested in games like this? :p
  4. Firstly, PS+ isn't required for free online games on PS4, while on Xbox, Live is required. I'm not sure how transferring from free to paid will work with PS+ though. It would be pretty annoying for a free user with out the subscription to buy the game and suddenly be unable to play.

Secondly, Sony sold off PC division to focus on more primary strategies, and while this wasn't the gaming division, it shows they aren't going after the market. A competitor to Planetside 2 might be concern to Sony, and perhaps is something Microsoft can use to boost their own game portfolio.

Sony also supports cross play between PS4 and PC with Final Fantasy 14 online, and the cross-game integration between Dust 514 and EVE Online. Microsoft is much more restrictive here, so again, Sony is more likely to facilitate EC's requirements than Microsoft.

Honestly, Sony is more likely to give EC a chance, but who knows, they could pass on it for competing with Planetside 2, which is something Microsoft could pick up to compete. If EC gets put on just one of the consoles, there will be massive "exclusivity" publicity, which could be great for the game if its in a shape ready to be recieved by the more ignorant publics eyes (basically, looking more like a finished game, because we know how the uninformed view "pre-alpha" graphics).
