Yes, it is all open world. The pre-alpha was just as a demo/display to get some of the really core concepts down. One "server", one map.

There better be no invisible walls, I hate those with a passion equal to that of my hatred of Space Puppies. BTW that is limitless.

They'll either have "no fly/no go" borders that kill you like PS2, Terrain Walls, or the dreaded Invisi Barrier. We'll have to wait and see what they choose.

My money is on dreaded water as a barrier.

The demo shown was an instanced map just for the purpose of the demo. It is indeed, open world.

I am talking about water, so much water that it puts the movie Waterworld to shame.

Well, true, there will be loading screens between continents.... but I don't think continent hopping is going to be a normal thing.
