I recently tried to optimize my four and a half year old somewhat-gamer ASUS laptop by wiping it and reinstalling the system, and found out later that there were no CDs with the machine when I got it in the first place, so I had nothing but the Windows website's official system, so I found out I was a little bit screwed. So, when I remembered that I actually wanted a new machine within the year, I just chose to abandon it a bit and go for a hunt for a new one. https://www.fcomputer.dk/computer/b...b-core-i7-15.6″-gf-840m-2gb-gamer-bærbar.html Now, I found this, and to me, it looks freaking amazing. Geforce 840M gfx, i7 processor, 8GB, and for all for around 600 pounds, but then again, I know nothing about computers, so me being wrong isn't at all outside the realm of possibilities - for example, I don't really know if I should look at 1,8 Ghz or 3,0 Ghz... Also, sorry it's in danish, but just look at the "Specifikationer" tab (meaning Specs, of course), all stuff there should more or less english. I appreciate your help
May I ask why you would wish a laptop over a desktop? Gaming laptops tend to be more expensive thanks to their smaller size and portability.
It's not bad, but unless you have a very good reason (I.E. travelling a lot due to your job) I'd recommend you to save an additional 400 euro and buy a really good desktop. With the arrival of motherboards that are compatible with DDR4 and the new GeForce 900-series (And the recent pricedrop on ATIs latest) it's an extremely good time to get a desktop.
Thanks for your replies, though some isn't as helpful as others. I live in two places and have to go about with my computer a lot, so that's why I want a laptop. I also don't have a budget for the big machines and really don't have the need, as I mainly want to play games who are not as heavy on the machine like Team Fortress 2, Bethesda games and others - i also hope this one will be able to play Eternal Crusade at least somewhat well. Graphics isn't too important to me, the game running smoothly is. So for that, it's pretty good for my needs. Now that that's done, can I get an analysis on the price and gain level?
