No. Then the devs have an excuse to not give a shit about faction balance. People who want to play marines will always want to play marines. People who DONT want to play orks or eldar will half as their games, or worse troll around roadkilling and driving vehicles into lava. What about campaigns? What if there are decent rewards for the winning faction. It's ALREADY going to be easy for guilds to que up as alt orks/eldar and throw the game. How many handicaps will be enough? You want even factions? How about just making the other two good.
Impossible, unless 1 is broken as hell like Eldar at launch and people flock to the flavor of the month then these playerbase are unlikely to heal at this point, so a compromise have to be met since we are past the tipping point. The end game abuse even if you lose probably doesn't help either though
I like this idea. Something like a flat 500xp at the end of every match for joining it randomly. It would also be a good motivator if people who selected this option got acces to a better grade of preset builds for the duration of the match so that you can be competitive as a faction you haven't invested enough time in to get things like decent armour or weapons. What would be even cooler was if you could allocate the requisition you earned when playing as a random faction to your preffered faction. Would make the grind slightly more varied and would remove a barrier to playing for any faction which is you don't want to waste time on another faction when you have stuff you still want to buy for your main faction.
i personally play all factions except orks, (dont like their animations sorry green skins!) and sometimes i jsut want to get a game in quickly with any of the races i play.
Good ahead, stick loyal ork players with random players who not only did not want to play orks, but are ALSO bitter they did not get to play their chosen faction because there were not enough players on the other side. Watch how many dick around in the matches with minimal effort or worse just troll the whole time making the team "pay" for ruining their planned good time. Then when all the regular ork players get sick of the asshats, they can all leave and every match can be a lottery for who plays one side. This is the same reason free 2 waaagh would not work. You have one crippled side completely incapable of working together or even trying. Sure it's a wet dream for the path of least resistance turds, but you kill the game.
I think its THE ABSOLUTE NO.1 MOST STUPIDEST IDEA EVER FLOATED, even taking into account Brexit, the Transformer movies, Green Lantern and Electing Donald Trump as President! Did that help? Should get alot of attention now.
how are people getting stuck with a faction they didnt want to play when they are CHOOSING to play any faction?
