I had a great time on one of the fortress maps once I found a wall of twisted rebar that I could hide behind and fire my starshot from. It was a brief measure of satisfaction as I got to take out both the quad gun and Heavy Bolters with some patience and carefully guided shots while they kept shooting at the wall.

Eldar and Chaos are straight up not fun to play against. Either they get nerfed, or a lot of people are going to "take a break" from this game.

And you are minimizing the problems.

In an online game speed requires a careful balance because of latency, lag, ping, whatever you want. If you get speed and comparable tankiness then you have an unbalance.
Even considering you don't need to be so tanky because if you clang in melee you just follow up with a second hit which is faster than your opponent's.

BTW I play Eldar too so I'm not jumping on the bandwagon of "OMG ELDAR OP" because I get killed and I don't want to learn.
I come to this conclusion because since patch 23 my melee kills with CSM has plummeted while my kills with Eldars rocks. And whenever with CSM I try to melee Eldars they kill me so easily as I kill CSM when I play Eldar.

You cannot turn fast with a SM so the Eldar, even you arrive from the front, can get to your back and kill you easily.

And nothing has changed speed or hitbox size since that patch either so how can you say that is the cause no one ever had a problem with this before then. Latency, lag, ping is not something we control aside from our own connectivity to the game but that should not be the reason we nerf eldar health/armor or tougness. As for faster melee, I think that is hearsay unless you can show me a video of comparisons that shows a large difference in speeds / recovery. Otherwise I will think of it as another nitpick, I am not trying to minimize problems but confirm there are problems that isn't just people trying to find anything at all that they could perceive as a large advantage over them losing a fight and not something mundane. And I appreciate the conversation so no worries, not trying to accuse you of anything.

And you thought CSM had it hard against Eldar.

Wait till you see it from LSM or Ork's point of view.

Eldar have been OP for less than one week. There is new patch today with preliminary patch notes (balance Changes!)

Eldar OP for one week, end of the world, TSM OP since game came out, nothing wrong with that

To all of you talking about CSM, it's not the point of the thread and i guess we can all agree it's much more manageable than the Eldar.
