Dark reapers start with the reaper launcher, that's not a very versatile weapon, so probably they will be more common as players unlock the shuriken cannon.
Reaper launcher is a very capable and adaptable weapon, I've had a great time 1 shotting people with it on all maps. I'm not even kidding you, certainly the cannon is an upgrade if you're looking for that extra supression and rate of fire, but the reaper launcher is very capable when it comes to the early game of a dark reaper.
And I say you are exaggerating the fastness, tankyness and damage of the eldar. People only started calling eldar op and the rest of this mess since patch 23 which was since last thursday. Befor that no one had a problem correct? Well the only thing that changed faction balance wise since then was and I quote " -The following weapons have been rebalanced, primarily to make them more accurate and do more damage at longer range: Boltgun, Hawk's Talon, Lasblaster, Plasma Gun (only hitscan at the moment), Shoota, Shuriken Catapult, Storm Bolter, Sunrifle. " and the changes to the melee system " - When performing a melee attack, players now move farther forward. -The strong attack now deals damage and briefly staggers a person using a Parrying Blow (formerly known as DBash)." Cause as everyone wants to forget it seems, eldar's dbash was notoriously bad and un-usable up till that point. Now you sprinkle in "banshee's" Fixed weapons so we didn't have to put our guns up to your face like it was a shotgun and the server issues that have been happening since and you have this whole " ELDAR OP GET NERFED" nonsense that has crept up.
all the issues people bring up, i think could be fixed with a 30-50% health reduction for the eldar, im fine with them having the most maneuverability, the highest dps weapons etc as long as i have a fair chance to actually kill them as i do vs the other factions, and the hitbox size gives them a hell of alot of tankiness, so i honestly feel a large health reduction would bring things into line. and before people mention learn to aim, i can aim well, its the natural bullet spread of the guns that creates the issue vs eldar.
As several people have pointed out to you already, Eldar were bottom tier in previous patch, with the same health and agility they have *right now*. What made them better were melee additions and weapon changes. And a lot of their arsenal got nerfed in this patch (WS, SC, FDs...). Melee might still need to be tuned down, but how can you ask for an exagerated 50% health nerf when Chaos does just fine against eldar and are pretty much even on the world map.
A 30-50% health reduction is a severe nerf, eldar only have 200 hp, and once again no one had a problem with speed nor hitboxes till recently and our dps has not changed only the range.
Dear @Farseer_Bast , i believe Eldar quickness and "tankyness" was overlooked before because their weapons sucked so much that they just weren't noticed, now that they have arguably the best mid-long range weapons in the game and strong melee classes, it became blatant.
Well sir, I think it more pervasive of the current situation that everyone is just looking for anything that could cause a advantage to make them lose. Yes we are relatively fast due to our slight increased speed and stamina and slightly smaller hitboxes. Does that equate the losses happening between us and LSM? No I don't believe so, and we are equal footing with CSM. I just think any nerfs to our durability should wait till after there are no longer any server lag issues so we can eliminate a potential cause.
I don't need to try to be constructive, others have done that already quite well in regards on how to balance the Eldar, as for boycotting playing against the Eldar i was referring to myself, i'm not telling anyone else what they should or should not do, but i simply don't find it fun fighting them right now, so i won't. As for being polite, no need on my account, let your rage flow, i couldn't give a rats ass what you say to me.
