Is Omegon Psychic? Because being Psychic is a necessary quality for becoming a Grey Knight (which is why Nathaniel Garro and most of Malcador's Knights Errant don't become GK).

Long story short, they strive for the elimination of the Chaos Gods., but they do so outside of the Imperium. They are renegades, but it is out of loyalty to the Emperor. Despite this, they are still seen as hostiles and heretics by the Imperium and can never rejoin.
This is not how the scene happened. Be careful when using the warhammer wikia. 1. The whole plan hinges on Horus defeating the Emperor. But Horus lost and the forces of Chaos will now never again annihilate each other in a cataclysmic civil war while the Imperium turns into exactly the corruption-prone state that the Alpha Legion wanted to prevent. What is the Alpha Legion's fallback-plan for that? 2. The Gods of Chaos are manifestations of the negative emotions in the warp and therefore part of the warp. The warp is timeless and therefore Chaos is timeless. (Slaanesh existed and was unborn at the same time. And daemons similarly exist in an unborn state inside the warp before they are born.) You cannot destroy Chaos unless you destroy the Warp. 3. Chaos was/is worshipped by xenos: the Kinebrach before the Great Crusade, the Laer during the Great Crusade, the Lok'Kroll, Saruthi, Scaephylyds, Xenarch and Yu'vath in later times. The Yu'vath even had their own interstellar empire! Wiping out mankind, the key of the plan of the Cabal, wouldn't have meant anything in the long run. Wiping out mankind to withhold it from Chaos is the same as trying to stop a serial-killer by stealing his shoes: It's a temporary irritation. Nothing more.
I wouldn't say that, maybe he's just the highest ranked guy to say, "hey you know what, this xeno plot we're involved in is a really bad idea for humanity, maybe I should fuck it up. Death to the False Emperor and all that jazz, but no Horus For Emperor 30k."
