Iron Within! Iron Without! We march from Medrengard in the Primarch's name! We will tear down the pathetic defenses of our enemies with the might of our guns! May all bow to the supremacy of iron!
  3. With you until the World Eaters get their skulls together and show up en mass.

What do the iron warriors think of Honsou? I'm on the fence about him myself

Meh he is a half breed but he did majorly bolster our numbers but also lose most of those numbers when he assaulted the ultra smurfs and got massacred. I'm okay with him he killed a bunch of smurfs and imperial fists and have us more guys so I'm cool with the crazy bastard.

    The Iron Warriors - -
their war machines indomitable, their fortifications impregnable, and the lines they draw uncrossable.

I would have the Iron Warriors act as the wardens of conquered strongholds and have their havocs and tanks at the forefront of every major siege.

Speaking as a Hound of Abaddon, while the Black Legion are by no means a slacker legion, the Iron Warriors, perhaps more so than any other legion in this conflict, are absolutely indispensable to the forces of Chaos on the surface of Arkhona. Without the Iron Warriors, the Chaos siege would eventually break.

This is my autocannon. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

My autocannon is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life.

My autocannon, without me, is useless. Without my autocannon, I am useless. I must fire my autocannon true. I must shoot straighter than my enemy who is trying to kill me. I must shoot him before he shoots me. I will...

My autocannon and I know that what counts in war is not the rounds we fire, the noise of our burst, nor the smoke we make. We know that it is the hits that count. We will hit...

My autocannon is Astartes, even as I, because it is my life. Thus, I will learn it as a brother. I will learn its weaknesses, its strengths, its parts, its accessories, its sights and its barrel. I will keep my autocannon clean and ready, even as I am clean and ready. We will become part of each other. We will...

Before the Primarch, I swear this creed. My autocannon and I are the defenders of the Legion. We are the masters of our enemy. We are the saviors of my life.

So be it, until victory is IV Legion's and there is no enemy, but peace.
  9. So I chose Iron Warriors...not because I actually like them. But because I dislike the other legions that much. Consider me an Emperors Child wrapped up in dull, boring, boltgun metal colored armor. That being said, Iron Within, Iron Without, Eff those other guys, Let me hear you shout!

I posted this play on the Kipling poem elsewhere in another IV Legion thread.

Gold for the custodian, silver for the maid,
Gold for the Emperor whom he betrayed
“Good!” said the Primarch, sitting in his hall,
“But Iron - Cold Iron – is master of them all.”

So he waged war for the warmaster, his liege
Camped before man’s birthworld and summoned it to siege
“Nay!” said the guardian on the palace wall,
“But Iron – Cold Iron – shall be master of you all!”

Woe for the Primarch, and his sons so strong,
When his lord and brother, lay there dead and gone,
He fell back to his fortress, mourning Horus’ fall,
And Iron – Cold Iron – was master of it all!

Yet his Gods spoke wisely (ah, how wise these Lords!)
“Can you not return now and take up again thy sword?”
“Nay!” said the Primarch, “mock not at my fall,
For Iron – Cold Iron – is master of men all!”

“Doubts are for the craven, vengeance is for the strong,
Hiding for the silly wretch that cannot right a wrong!”
“As my loss was grievous, vengeance shall be tall,
For Iron – Cold Iron – must be master of men all!”

Then this Lord laid Earthwork, (few such Lords there be!)
“Here I wait and stand my ground, come and join with me.
Curse, my sons, at Rogal’s name, the whiles I do recall
How Iron – Cold iron – can be master of men all!”

His rival took the challenge, though many soon be dead.
With His own guns he welcomed them, and presently he said:
“See! These Fists have been deceived, inside my fortress wall,
Show Iron – Cold Iron – to be master of men all.”

“Rage is for the desperate, cunning for the strong.
Blood and death for vengeful hearts all cut and bruised with wrong.
I mock now thy Iron Cage – I have built thy fall.
For Iron – Cold Iron – must be master of men all!”

“Glory for the righteous – kingdoms for the bold!
Fortresses for Iron Warriors who dare to take and hold!”
“Yes!” said the Primarch, gloating in his hall
“For Iron – Cold Iron – is master of men all!
Iron out of Olympia is master of men all!”
