Iron Warriors Prologue: "battle Barge: Tyrant's Gaze"

Discussion in 'Role Playing' started by Warsmith0602, Nov 20, 2014.

  1. Kragg slides to a stop then tries to show off and dives into the swirl "Come on torin this looks like......" his words were cut off for he is already on the other side @Xaphen

(Ooc so you two are the ones I dragged with me )
  2. Torin follows trough the portal. She rolls her eyes a bit as he is a bit childish. She steps trough it, her wings being the last you see of her as she leaves trough the swirling vortex

(OOC: Warsmith Tarantus is aboard the Wrath of Iron, not the Tyrant's Gaze. There is no communication between the two ships at this time due to warp interference and the Wrath of Iron is currently under abandon ship protocol. The hangars of the Tyrant's Gaze are being secured by evacuees from Tarantus' ship and survivors from one of the escort vessels).

In the bowels of the Wrath of Iron:

The shaking and shuddering of the ship intensified around Tarantus. The twisting of metal resounded throughout the service ducts. Behind him, the bellows of the incoming Daemon Lord reverberated through the ship, while ahead of Tarantus, the shrill cacophony of screaming fleshlings violated his ears. All the while, warning klaxons continued their atonal cry of impending doom.

Just beyond the Warsmith was a gaping tear in the floor, reaching several levels down. Pipes, cables and connecting nodes all hung loosely from the fissure, sparks falling from the swinging electrical conduits. A broken blast door showed the only way forward, however it was at least four levels down the hole.

Suddenly, a huge, crimson claw reaved through the walls and wreckage behind Tarantus and a huge, flaring snout with churning, bloodshot eyes glowed at locking onto its prey.

"I will SHEAR you into pieaces, 'Iron' Warrior!"

    Aboard the Tyrant's Gaze:
"We're being overrun!" a terrified voice screamed from the console.

This was but one of the dozens of fractal cries of horror mixing together from various consoles in the command bridge. Servitors wheezed and cranked with calculation as they imparted tactical information and standing orders to commanding officers and acting squad leaders.

Warsmith Golvar stood with a scrutinous gaze, switching between pict-screen as reports flashed in from every sector.

"The fodder is holding surprisingly well for an incursion of this caliber. How long until Dragulos' squad can reinforce the gravity core?"

"Projected time to arrival at eighteen minutes." droned a servitor from off to the side.

"Excellent." the Warsmith stated coolly. He then gazed upon one particular pict-screen, showing the fleet's status; the Wrath of Iron and Wall of Gorgon were shown on the screen. Whilst the Wall of Gorgon had sustained very little damage to its critical systems, the Wrath of Iron pulsed red with warnings and damage reports. Many sectors of the vessel had begun to depressurize and the dead filled the maw of warspace in the hundreds.

The ship was in its death throes and Golvar could picture the scene of total chaos that must be unfolding. His imagination would have to suffice however, as he had ordered all view-port blast doors sealed.

"What fun Tarantus must be having." he mused sardonically.

    "What a shame..."

In Tyrant's Gaze munitions storage block 12:

All was generally quiet in munitions storage, as this sector of the ship had been rigorously guarded and prioritized by some Astartes squads.

Suddenly, a churning portal ripped violently into existence in one of the empty spaces of the storage block and two figures were hurled from its twisted maw. A noise marine and a fallen seroritas.

In the relative tranquility of the storage block, only ambient sounds of violence could be heard from other decks with the occasional shudder of the beset ship. However, in the darkness, the silhouette of a huge, ancient looking figure could be seen, hanging from a collection of huge chains.

    It was a Contemptor dreadnought.

The ancient war machine hung limp from its chains and had obviously been deactivated for centuries and bore the colors of the Dark Wolves traitor company. Various Space Wolves paraphernalia decorated its shell and hung from its limbs. Only a single dim light illuminated the dreadnought in the dusty darkness...

    Malliborn-
"Golvar where do you need us, we are currently headed to the hanger if you need us to redirect we can."

*The 6 moved through the halls with no attacks it was like the warp doesn't want them today.*
  6. OOC: I am trying to keep up with the plot but unfortunately i am terribly busy IRL at the moment, so excuse my brief post...

Thur'servorr assisted his minions: Herdoron, Grabnosh and Rawal in their task to stabilise the core. Also newcomers - the three raptors of Iron Warriors Legion of significant help, a game changer one might say. They allowed Grabnosh to continue his techmarinish job and be assisted by Rawal and Herdoron who contributed accordingly to their abilities. Meanwhile Thur'servorr could enjoy what he did best (apart form excruciating his victims): and that was gaining ground in melee combat. Lesser daemon didn't stand a chance against him, a veteran of the Long War with experience of 10.000 years of conflict.

"This is Thur'servorr to Captain Rhuul, we are stabilising the coolants, enginarium will be ours in a matter of minutes. The engines them selves are not in danger as far as my men are ensuring me. Awaiting further orders."

300 of Malliborn's renegade guard rushed to the hanger to assist Malliborn would be angered that he had lost 75 to the warp.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*The 6 continued walking to the armory wondering when the daemons would rise and attack them*

    Malliborn-
    "It's quiet too quiet."

    Sergeant Koros-
    "But why."

    Lucian-
"It is possible that the daemons cleared this area and moved to the hanger."

    Khengruul-
    "No that's improbable."

*Static happened for a moment in Malliborns vox*
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Commissar Rachem-
"Sir*static* are *static*to hanger we have *static* lost seventy-f*static*and going to flan*static* daemons so we don't *static the hanger"...vox cut out "Dammit Push focus fire on the daemons we will not lose the ship well we might but we will go down fighting."
*The guards push on the daemons attacking the hanger kill 2 or 3 within seconds the blood of their fallen brothers will not go unavenged!*
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Malliborn-
"The guard are on the move to flank the hanger save the teleporttearium they are being over ran, so we must move to the Armoury and reload and resupply let get a move on."

    Squad-
    "Understood."
*The squad moved to the Armoury recharged and reloaded they all moved to the hanger they were stopped by a few dozen blood letters it would take them some time to get to the Hanger from the Armoury.*
