i seriously regret making my chaos character an iron warrior. i might cry to support until they make me alpha legion. the only customisation options are either incredibly shallow, like stripy legs (what am i, one of the salamanders?) or the most expensive like MK3, so you either get the terrible looking bundle or one of the grotesque chaos demon armours, most of which look like garbage, next to the alpha legion with only cool cosmetics, and not only cool cosmetics but like, a choice of different cool cosmetics. you can't even make them gold too edgy and heretical 1/10 IGN why does alpha legion get like 10 things when even ultramarines only get imperial fist's hand-me-downs? and don't get me started on the fact that orks have 30 types of teeth but you can never see any of them because of the 'gob's.
At least you have legs customization, advanced armour visual effects, and access to all the "none limited" stuff, like helmets. I have to admit, tho, that my csm marine is an Alpha Legion (I remade a rank 4 Nightlord [not that hard to get up to] to be Alpharius), so..... Guess the cosmetic choice is pretty wide on that end. Still wider on CSM than on Eldar as a whole.
You are talking about sub faction customisation. The only time I or anyone gets to see what Craftworld my Character is from is when they pull a vehicle or play warlock. Only one class displays your Craftworld colours! Seriously Eldar customisation is the worst in the game. This is how it goes... ''Would you like one lump on your shoulder pads or two?'' ''Err...'' ''Excellent choice Sir!'' First its TT rules, then EC and now our customisation options are deemed OP, this is getting ridiculous!
How do you figure it's worse? tell me the difference between any of the sub-factions Dire Avengers, Fire Dragons, Dark Reapers, Swooping Hawks, Striking Scorpions, or Howling Banshees? You can only tell a Craftworld on Warlocks.
what damn near every other legion is just primary color maybe secondary color at least the IW have silvery iron and hazard stripes on top of all that heretek shit and brutal machinery
Word Bearers usually have mutations out the ears (probably literally), Alpha Legion and Night Lords obviously have good stuff going for them armor wise. Iron Warriors usually just have hazard stripes, and bionics. So yeah, I guess they aren't THAT bland. The only Legion that beats them in the bland department is Black Legion, but in one of the newer CSM Codices they did get all those sub factions within the legion, which do look pretty cool.
We need some bionic arms and legs iron warrior style. Servo arms backpacks for Sorc and vets and beyond classes. Need hazard striping skins for every cosmetic part not just the one leg so we can mix and match our own designs. and by default our weapons should be hazzard striped . including the melee weapons. http://imgur.com/a/8GgEm
