So, I just watched the trailer for "Eternal Crusade" (Emperor bless you behavior) and it made me wonder, does this mean there will be an intro cinematic for the game, and if yes, what would you guys love to see in it? Personally, I would love if it was exactly like the intro cinematic from the old "Dawn of war" game. Almost no talk, just brutal combat, intense action, and epic music, all in the glory for the Imperium/Chaos/ da Waaagh/the Craftworld. What do you guys think?
Hell fucking yes! I loved the DoW 1's Intro so much! I still sometimes watch it and I get shivers everytime!
Ah yes the first DoW, loved it! always makes me watch it glued to the screen, then it ends....and i am sad like a movie abruptly cut off. Would love to see something like this in EC.
I'd really enjoy it if it didn't take resources away from the game, like if the cinematic was included when the devs said the game was fully funded.
This is the best game intro ever, also that battle cry of the sargeant at 1:06 , it's the most powerfull shout ever made I hope to see something like it in the next part of EC intro
The DoW 1 intro is classic. One of the most epic cinematic game intros of all time. Dat charge battlecry. It is ridiculously inaccurate from a lore standpoint....but still great.
It always was a great video, to get you warmed up for the game! It is also a nice example for a "Bad tactical decisions" reference on some online encyclopedia... I would like to see the continuation of it , with that sergeant getting some "not so friendly" questions from his commander, for leaving a fortified and defensible position, charging against Orcs without proper support, getting so many men killed and a dreadnought destroyed, just to capture a pile of dirt... but hey, it looks cool!
DOW: 1 and 2 had amazing intro cgi. I agree, Eternal Crusade needs to show an epic battle scene. We've already seen SM vs Orcs/Eldar. I wanna see CSM in action, maybe against the Orcs than all of a sudden SM and Eldar come out of nowhere and it becomes a battle royale carnage.
I think we can't get around showing he poster boys first in the intro ^^ maybe a nice scene where a squad of 5 SM ambushing a squad of orks just a secound before they start the attack a squad of Eldar teleports behind them and ambush them! the orks hear the noises and start dakkadakkadakka! and charging into the bulk of SM and Eldar! suddenly the chaos appear and join the fight! suddenly something falls from the sky and bursts into the fighting factions dusk in the air! we see some shadows raising from the ground as the dusk wall gets thinner we see a tyranids meteor thingy and some creatures coming out of the pit which was created by the impact and more of this things falling from the sky the last scene we see all 4 factions standing back to back to await the charge of the kids and all scream their battle cries! that could be epic ^^
