Sterlean was quite busy grabbing a few devices that in her experience have proved quite useful for scouting tasks, as it seemed to her that no-one realised the need for that particular task and she couldn't do it alone, despite her skill at such a task. To that end she searched the shuttle for a Stilzar scout drone to help her scout out the features of the asteroid and a networked communications array for sending the results of what the children had found out about the new mineral in the galaxy from sampling it and running whatever tests they think should be done to the mineral. Once she had found the equipment, the warrior then hauled both the drone and array out of the shuttle and placed the array besides the shuttle while she started to activate the Stilzar drone, setting it to run a standard scan of a new area program. When the program was loaded into the machine, the drone then flew off to scout out the rest of the asteroid while Sterlean started work on activating the array by flicking on the power for the device and then calibrating the networked comm array to find the colony ship's signal for data transmission, a rather intensive task for even someone of her calibre.
The band of three arrived at the bottom of the drilled tunnel where they found soon the new element. It was bright metallic silver apparently glowing from itself, almost like a crystal, but it was definite a metal. No matter what they would do with it, nothing would happen. It seems the only way to get a sample is to actually take the whole asteroid and analyze it as a whole after breaking it down into chunks till only this weird silver was left over. The communication to their flagship was established quickly, the drone skimmed over the asteroid without any report yet as it had made no special findings, it saved the data and started to forge a map that could be requested.
Sterlean had finished setting up the networked comm array when an idea slipped into her head involving the scout ship and going to the planets in the system..... Without having to drag the kids along with her, as she wanted them to be safe from anything dangerous in the new galaxy and therefore she would go ahead of them and ensure that there wasn't anything planetside that would harm them, which meant leaving them behind on the asteroid with the comm array up and running so that they could call the colony ship for another ship to pick them up. With her plan decided, the warrior walked into the shuttle and magnetically locked the weapon in her hand on her back and before she then took the pilot's seat, with her claws gripping the rather familiar controls and started up the shuttle's engines for take off. Before setting off to her planned destination, Sterlean though that it would be a good idea to inform the children where she was going, so that they knew what to do while she was gone. So to that end she activated her amour's communication system, then linked herself to everyone on the asteroid and then said "Well, I'll be leaving you kids to play around on the asteroid looking for that new mineral while I scout ahead and make sure that there is nothing on the green planet could harm any of you." With her message sent to the children, Sterlean then gunned the shuttle's engines and set off from the asteroid, heading to the green planet as the pilot would call it. All she could hope for now was that the kids didn't dare come after her because of what she had done for their own good.
"Berthen, do you read me? We cant break this rock, not even Troy can get a proper sample. We would need to throw this thing into a planet to break it" he told his suits microphone. Enyo began taking the drill probe he had sent earlier and prepping to go back up. Its tip was damaged, but nothing that couldn't be fixed with some elbow grease. "What do you mean you will be leaving us. We are done here!"
Ooc: sorry for my absence "Wait what do you mean?! You can't just abandon us here!" His worst fears were coming true because of that bug. He started sweating and getting the shakes.
"Lets get up Troy. We need to get out this place." Enyo yelled. He was already being flung up the metal rope they had used to get down. The mag clips bringing him up with the heavy drill bit, making his ascent slower then usual.
He was lost in his own thoughts about dying in space. "Yea." He said it absent mindedly and hooked into the rope. He hoped it wasn't true and was just a prank.
The ship made it without problems and within a couple of minutes, given the high-speed cruise control for inner-system movement. Atmospheric scanners showed that it had the components for Gyzahns to survive, but on a more detailed scan it was too concentrated in oxygen, making it rather uncomfortable to breathe. A feature this modified warrior had not to worry about thanks of her improved physiology. Luckily with high oxygen, it was also very humid, making fires nigh impossible and therefor one would have not to worry about it too much. The Ship found a good clearing on top of a hill, at the foot of a lonely mountain that was quite hollowed out, definitely a point of interest. Berthen looked at the craft leave and shrugged, setting his suit on frequency with the main colony ship. "Berthen here, send the Pelican." He simply ordered and waited for the other two to emerge from their tunnel, but something shook the little asteroid from within, like an Earthquake.
"WHAT WAS THAT!! Of course this would happen when that frakkin bug takes our way off this rock!" E was scrambling to get to the top of the tunnel, maybe the scanner could give them some insight into what that was.
Sterlean sighed at the fact this planet had a high oxygen concentration, as that would mean that ballistic weaponry would be rather useless, so she'd have to modify her weaponry to use lasers instead. Noting that she didn't take any power cells from her armoury, the warrior got up from the pilot's chair and swiped a few cells while leaving all of her ballistic ammo in the power cell's place, as she didn't need it. Sterlean then grabbed her two-handed weapon from her back and then modified it into a burst-fire laser rife, and she also changed her one handed weapon into a laser pistol so that she had a ranged back up weapon, just in case she lost her main weapon. With her weaponry sorted out, Sterlean then decided to grab some extra equipment for an scouting run of the hollow mountain, so she nabbed a grappling hook launcher for traversing heights, and a light projector for looking into dark places, even if her suit had inbuilt lights. The warrior also took a scanner for finding anything odd in the mountain, like lifeforms and some food and water rations so that she could stay in the mountain for longer without having to return to the ship, which meant that there was less back and forth travel between the mountain and the ship. With her equipment now sorted, Sterlean felt that she was now ready to explore the hollow mountain to find if anything hid inside, and she was quite thankful that her improved physiology meant that she didn't need to worry about having to wear rebreathers to make it easy to breath the high oxygen air, while she was also thankful that the humidity from the high oxygen levels made it hard for anyone to set anything on fire, like herself. So she left the scout ship and headed off to the hollowed out mountain, ready to explore it.
