What is going with the game tonight ?? Either I get a freeze bug where the game stops on the last frame OR -1000 FPS?
The game is the most poorly optimized game currently on the market. Even with a decent rig you MIGHT get 50 fps constant. You have to have top of the line to get the 60fps mark. Which honestly is unacceptable for a shooter game. Not to mention that its flip a coin for a 90 ping server or a 190 ping server. Also impossible to play on. People will tell you its always your system but then you can go ahead an play many other games at 60 fps on various settings. This game with all graphics turned off still runs like shit. Because its so CPU intensive so if you don't have an i7 core, you're fucked. They rushed this game out and have barely optimized it at all. It NEEDS to be a priority.
My computer is at least 3 years old and I only have a 970 and I run on max settings just fine. Stop that nonsense. Pretty sure most FPS issues come from people with AMD processors.
Not sure what's funny about that. I have an i4770k and I never get a steady 60fps regardless of the graphic settings Pretty sure you're just not checking your fps when the fighting happens. Or have ever played a fortress map
It appears that PLAY.TV = a FPS drop. Specs - 6700K I7, 32 GB of DDR4 ram and a 1080 = god like machine
I haven't done Fortress since my break like 2 months ago but even then I still ran at least in the 40's(on max settings). I can't imagine it's gotten worse(unless on the new Fort map).
I agree this game is terribly optimized and still needs much more done to it. Too many times have I gone into melee and the game has frozen for 4 seconds straight and then it catches up, with me dead. Too many times have I played fine on one map, only for it to change to another where it freezes, with framerate drop galore. Too many times have I been unable to have even music playing on my pc alongside Eternal Crusade, because EC takes up so much effort. The freezes are bad enough that my entire PC locks down, mouse cursor locks into place and nothing responds. I've played other demanding games such as Arma III, Battlefield 4, FFXIV, and none of them cause my PC to have a "cardiac arrest" as much as EC does. And one thing I notice the most is that the game gets slower and slower, freezes and framerate drops happen more often the longer you play the game for. Edit: I forgot to mention, I am incapable of playing it any higher than Medium. Even on low, the game still freezes and gets FPS drops.
Well no but I was typing that in a response that I probably drop below 60 and not realize it. I was just saying that, even if I am slowing down in a Fort map it's not to the point where it looks/plays too badly. I don't chop or freeze or stutter etc.
