Off topic: I vote that Orks carry around a large rock, tree stump, or other large piece of battlefield detritus to plonk down at any given moment to hide behind. Bam. Stealthed Ork. Now that crucial piece of information has been said, this idea has been burning a hole in the back of my skull for the last few days now and has just been screaming to get out. Please feel free to tell me if I'm full of it but here goes: Should there be an in-fighting mechanic? One that dosent interfere with the battle at hand between the current warring factions in the immediate area where a 'waaagh of Orks' <a group or warband of orks> lock into combat until there's one left standing. The winner is then transformed in some epic explosion of green Orky-ness into the Warboss who is then subsequently made bigger, tougher, greener and meaner than the rest. <the bigger the scrap / group / Waaagh / Raid / Warband, whatever its called in game, the bigger the Warboss> After each Ork in the scrap is considered 'dead' they simply momentarily fall on their face, arse, head etc to self resurrect. They are then locked out of the 'scrap' to be Warboss till he is chosen by the rights of infighting combat so as not to take themselves out of the immediate battle previously at hand to then continue their original agenda of crumping whatever task they where previously engaged in. The point of this is to give the Waaagh an immediate leader and source of the green tide buff, a good inscentive for acting like Orks and wouldn't take away from the current fight at hand as these contests for leadership would be short and not take the participants out of the battlefield. Then finally, when the new Warboss dies, goes 'link dead' leaves the Waaagh or simply wants to relinquish leadership, the title of Warboss is then back up for grabs and another scrap sparks up for leadership of said Waaagh. I would seriously consider forsaking my atonement for all things Norse or Dwarfy with beards axes and an alcoholic violence problem <Wolves of Fenris> if something like this was put into play. If enough of us think the same way maybe something like whats stated above will come into existence. Thoughts? Good idea bad idea, any ways to improve it or if you just want to tell me how wrong I am, I / we want to hear.
The primary thing about it is trying to incorporate it into the battlefield and make it smooth. That seems like a significant challenge, and though I would love to see it implemented, I could also see the other faction we're fighting trolling by getting in on the scrap. However, I do want to see a fighting pit available for whenever any orks have disagreements. That's how Ork society works. If two people have a problem, they fight it out in the pit. The winner is right.
DOES ANYoNE EVER USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION FOR GOD'S SAKE !!! Deus meo nathian sa-be nada porque !!! Ok rang in Spanish aside tgere are several mega threads on this buddy like the fightin pit is one of em use it.
I agree that something like this should be implemented in the ork leadership, where the "voted leaders" have a scrap to decide who's the Warboss of the WAAAGH! this way we have a proper orky leader.
