    Guppy stood there for a moment, throwing Athernia an unsure look. She hadn't gotten to know Clint like this, and it was honestly worrying her. She didn't like to see her comrades fight, especially not so early after losing Artie. "I'm going after him for a moment, Darkling Queen", the pelager said in a low voice, though she was sure the newly-titled would understand it with her powerful Eldar senses. Looking for a way to acknowledge Athernia's authority, she'd made up the claim to royalty on the spot, hoping it got her point across before slinking into the alley after the Tau.

    (@BadDo9 ) "Clint", the fellow blue humanoid spoke, "something's wrong here, and I'm not risking anyone not bringing their A-game." Slowly, Cilith TessSha approached him, and put a hand on the distraught marksman's shoulder. "Care to tell me? Sometimes it feels like you took Artie's death harder than I."
  2. Carack rubbed his head as the argument between Clint and Athernia happened, wondering where things gone wrong for them to be at this point. It seemed like Guppy was already talking with the steamed Tau already, so he stepped closer to Athernia. "You are the leader there isn't doubt in that, and I doubt if you didn't care you would have stayed with the gang either and tried to be this misssfitsss groupsss leader. I'm sssaying this as an advissser that a Teethssspeaker ssshould, that perhapsss being harsssh on the young boy isssn't the best route to take with him, he'sss ssstill growing up. He'sss still obviously torn up about Artemisss, so he'sss going to hold whose ever the leader up to her ssstandardsss. But, that does raissse the question if he's ssstable enough to talk and guile hisss way with whatever friendsss he made with thessse banditsss. Perhapsss a compromissse, him and Guppy go but with you posing as their leader that offersss thisss recruiting chance? Might be more believeable if some bandits actually get to talk with our own gang leader" he suggested, hoping to find a middle ground between all of them. It would take work and time, but he still believed they all could work together like a pack.

    Clint looked down the alley he'd moved to, refusing to look at the main street. Even when guppy came to his side, he didn't look. "I've only truly trusted four people since I was born." Clint began, hiding in his cloak and hat. "Four people who truly knew who I was before Clint. And now with Artemis gone, I've failed to save three of them. My parents, and her. I would do anything to have died instead of them." his voice was calm, but cold. As if locking away everything.

    "I stay for her memory. She gave me a place to stay. To live. I'm not leaving that. Not even with the disrespectful power struggle that's going on." then he scoffs. "That doesn't mean I'm just going to lay down and let one of them walk over me. I won't be pushed around again, I don't work without respect."

    "That's the one promise to her I know I can keep.

    With Clint storming off after having his piece, one of the Necrons suggesting a plan, Guppy going off to likely console the Tau and Carack offering advice, Athernia listened to all of it. The Teethspeaker made the most sense, given the situation so she nodded at him then replied (@BuriasDempsey )"Very well.... I suppose I should mention about actually being the leader and so being able to lend legitimacy to the proceedings might give Clint a more positive reason to bring me along. And well.... I'll try to go easier on him, but Clint needs to realise that if he wants respect, it's something you have to earn and you earn it from me by getting stuff done, not by throwing tantrums over me transgressing over a line that I never knew existed."

    As for the Necron's plan, the Dark Eldar then replied (@Vulpas ) "I think that level of planning will only work once everyone's adjusted to reality, and besides: Two teams is realistically the maximum number of teams we have the number of people for. So practically speaking, we're better off with an infiltration team to bring some Cadians along side our ranks, then have the two of them work to get the assault team in as back and the Cadians out, then seize the place with both of our teams fighting."
  5. Severath looked up from his staff when the blue creature began yelling at the with pointy ears that claimed leadership. He tilted his head as he listened finding Clint's sudden anger interesting as he stormed off and the one called Guppy followed him. He decided agianst watching further since they may not appreciate that and he didn't want to upset them. He turned to the supposed leader (@Maleth) "I suppose I could be put into either team. Use me as you wish I will most likely enjoy myself not matter the objective." Desipite his genuine enjoyment his voice remained in the same gravely monotone synthetic voice.

    @BadDo9

    "I can appreciate your feelings on this", Guppy replied, stepping closer to make her hand on his shoulder an arm around him. "Look at me. Artie and I were basically childhood friends, before we lost touch, and now that I found her again, she's dead. And now I feel like I'd do her a wrong if I left you all." She paused. "Everyone here does, Clint. And everyone tries to fix it in different ways. Athernia tries to be a good leader, the only way she knows. Nobody means you disrespect - or Artie."

    "Come on. Let's do this - if nothing else, for Artie."

    With the decision of the trio made to work together in this endeavour - A Tau, a Pelager and a Dark Eldar walked into a warehouse. Surely this would make a start of a great joke, was it not for the five Las Rifles primed at them the moment they walked through the main entrance. Clint already had the token of gratitude out and held it high. It caused the Cadians to lower their arms and a somewhat more important looking one approach the trio, the other four still on edge. Two were on a railing above the group, while the other two fell in to flank their apparent-Sergeant.

    "I came to redeem the token." Clint said with a smile and handed it off, the Sergeant was expecting it's authenticity before putting it in one of his pockets. "So be it. What do you want?!" He surely had a drill-sergeant tone to his voice and an obvious gaze of disdain for having only the faces of mutants and aliens to look at. Was it up to him there might be a las mark in each of their heads. Then again, a talented talker and free-time psychologist could tell he was acting tough for the sake of toughness. An oath had to be upheld and as a soldier he had respect and honor. They were not ruthless throat-slicing Catachan after all.

    OOC: Would like to mention that Baddo9 is on hiatus so I bot Clint to my best capabilities.

    The standby group couldn't do much but wait for their signal. Unless of course they would develop plans on their own, now that Atherina was out of sight. Purrity eagerly wiggled, weapons at the ready. While Urkrag's monster just growled low, eager to do something.

  8. Sslyth inspects her shardcarbine. She is eager to test it out on the field. Weapon dealer promised it would be real deal, not shadier bootleg sold with just a higher price. At least it had the soul-hungry aura ready to bring indescribable torture emoting from it as it's needle-covered handles sink into her flesh. Most fraudsters don't understand the mutual aspect of pain of the Commorrite weapons.

    Her upper pair of arms roll her shoulders and loosen the chakrams from her back. Sselesstleia can see reflection of her snake-eyes staring back from the polished blades. She continues to idly play with the ring blades while waiting any orders to arrive to her comm-bead. It was pointless action to kill time, but the threat of someone possible loosing a finger or two gives her slight thrill.
  9. Unlike the rest Carack just lean against a nearby wall with his back with his arms across his chest, content to just wait quietly and still while in the dark to wait for their signal. In his hand he held one of the rune etch teeth, the rune itself meaning good luck, the warmth of the focus item a welcomed sensation as the Verathian relaxed. He didn't see any need to plan now without 3 of their packmates who are now in enemy territory and counting on themselves not to frag up the plan they had devised, so he kept an eye on everyone else, making sure no one decides to lone hunt something and ruin it for the rest of the pack.

    With the current leader of this group of Cadians asking about what they were all here for, Athernia replied (@Uriel1339 ) "Simply put, we came to give you an offer of greener pastures." Needless to say, she was not currently planning to be overt about the fact that she would be asking them to betray their comrades (or even ask them to prove their loyalty), as that was rather likely to end with the trio being shot in the head rather than listened to.
