In The Deathwatch All Are Equal

At no point should the devs ever openly assist any faction with units the players do not have access to or with units the devs have not legitimately unlocked. The shouldn't even be participating due to suggesting faction favoritism, which will also bring the legitimacy and fairness of the game itself into question. No one is going to want to play a game where the devs openly favor and assist Faction A unless they're going to play as Faction A themselves. Which leads to a huge population disparity, which further harms the game since nobody plays anything but the faction that always wins every single engagement. Even if they did it on a rotation, now you have the problem of "this week Faction B is getting help from the devs" and "next week Faction C, which I play, gets their help so I won't play until then".
In you example, we'll say that the Orks/Eldar/Chaos/any combination of those three are pressing hard against a major base for the Space Marines, and the Space Marines suffering a strategic loss is assured. All of a sudden, a handful of Deathwatch Marines outfitted with the best possible equipment available to that organization shows up and turn the tide of the battle, saving the Space Marines.
The resulting shitstorm would actually cause irreparable damage to the reputation of the game and Behavior as a whole.

Well having the Deathwatch show up and save the day would be a little off to me. It would be the same as the Grey Knights showing up and saving the day. Both of them are specialized for a specific threat, with the Deathwatch being specialized in Xenos. I could see them coming in and annihilating the alien threat but if you sick a chaos demon after them it will not end well. I give them credit for being awesome, but they aren't unstoppable.

As for the Legion of the Damned, well I think they are content with what they do. "Chapters" like theirs are interesting but extremely volatile as well.

I see your point. I am still curious as to how the devs will integrate themselves into the community as they have gave only a vague "We'll be everywhere" but if I really think about it they might just start off as regulars and work their way up the same as us. Or not who knows. But yeah Bob you give a valid reason I just wanted to toss ideas around.

Awww come on man dont be a stick in the mud!(nothing bad inteded) i agree dont let them have OP stuff but atleast let them have the colours they wish and let them play the game they are making after all i think they deserve to have fun too!, i dont think all the devs are marine fans and i dont think theyre gonna be favouring one faction just because they fight on it, heck they could create another account with a different name and play like your regular daily basis joe.

They have said it, its a team effort! and man i bet they are gonna be very busy controlling the tiranid raids on the factions but anyways dont tell the devs that they cant play with the faction they like D: its not favouritism remember its a skill based game maybe one of your sargents, captains, veterans, blablabla is a lot more better than a dev playing *yea the dev has cool colors* but lets say *captain Jaccx(mep! :p) is a freaking murdering machine*

Just an opinion man i dont mean any harm.
