Cyntheria tore into the man's throat with her teeth and letting her blades rip the man apart. Her body shaking slightly from the whole thing as she backed away from the man to let his dead mutilated body hit the ground. Her eyes glared at the body as her hands shook slightly. The anger and hatred gone. She ran off to change back to her normal uniform and to act as if late to the fight running over quickly to the others. She looked at lady Gwyneth before speaking softly. "If you give me some time I just need to find bandages the village might have and a few plants to help everyone's wounds. I would like to have a little time to find a few things for a special vial." She looked to Noburo to tear off a small part of her long dress to hand it to him. Speaking there language to him. "Use it to cover your wound while I search for anything to use. I am sorry for losing it but I will not let some pathetic bandits harm you."
Ori brutalized the fallen foe with kicks to the head and body, turning the head into a red pulp of unrecognizable mess. After his adrenaline started to fade a stinging pain on his shoulder caused him to flinch. He looked around to see most of his retinue was dead, rage and sorrow filled him as his friends lay dead. Picking up his spear in a cold manner, he threw it at the running bandit, watching as the spear sailed through the wind.
After destroying that bandits genitals and seeing the battle ended Gunther saw a little boy being crushed by a dead horse and saw two men taking care of it but saw the 'saint' crying at the mere sight of blood and death. Gunther walked over to her. "You should of never seen a place like this most men and women would tremble in fear at the sight of this stay strong for your people M'lady Gwyneth." With his clean hand he would rest his hand on her shoulder to show a sign of relief, then let his arm down walked away. Gunther then walked to mid town and started take down bodies and rest them on the ground. 'Not my place to give them rights it is her people.' He thought to himself Gunther then saw the barbarian crush the skull of the final bandit and nod his head in disappointment and continued to take care of the bodies.
Seeing what her spell did to the Chieftain, Elisa grimaced in surprise at what she did to him, even if she got an axe wound to the leg for her troubles. Seeing everyone finishing up the fighting and providing (even if she disapproved of forcing Gwyneth to heal by shouting that a death would be on her if she didn't do anything), she decided to take a rest. So the mage decided to stick close to the Carriage for her rest but slightly from it to give Gwyneth some room. Her rest would hopefully allow Ferifan to recover from her spell casting, and get ready to do a healing ritual so that her wounds didn't risk becoming an issue if untreated. However, there would be a small, friendly smile on her face to Shaila, and the two people from Quris, happy to see that their hearts were in the right place by comforting Gwyneth.
Gwyneth couldn't reply from her sobbing, only nodding acknowledgment as she was escorted back to her carriage by Noburo and Shaila. She allowed Shaila to help her and stayed put inside the carriage, merely nodding at Cyntheria's query and at Gunther. The concern she was getting consoled her. Ulrich ignored Noburo, he was more concerned for his friend's health than Gwyneth's feelings. He wasn't there to be nice, Ulrich was there to make sure things got done and everyone stayed alive. "She has been pampered long enough, those tears won't be the last in this trip." Ulrich said and helped Victor sit against the carriage's wheel. The squire who was pinned under the horse was groaning in pain and let out a strong cry of agony as his leg was released. "It hurts, Elusine help me, it hurts! I can't move my leg!" The wounded squire's leg was bleeding and swollen, most likely broken as well. The other squire looked at Shaila and Elisa in turn, pleading look in his eyes. "You two know miracles like Lady Gwyneth, do you not? Help him, please!" A fleeting moment passed as the squire seemed to gather his thoughts, then fixing a stare at Benjamin. "Did...that ferret just talk?" He asked the creature, very confused of current events. "Ollie, get the horses back. Now." Ulrich ordered the squire, some of the horses had run away from the fighting. "Yes, fath- ...commander." The squire replied and reluctantly left his friend's side to catch the horses. "Several wounded and eight of Ori's, from the look of it." Ulrich replied to Urghak. The commander had a neutral expression but held a silence of sympathy for the dead men. Then the spear was thrown, it landed squarely between the bandit's legs. Ulrich glared at Ori, annoyed that his order hadn't been followed to the letter. Startled, the criminal stopped moving and looked at Ori and the now approaching knight commander. Ulrich tossed the spear aside and hauled the bandit up by his shirt collar. "Who put you up to this?! Why do you want Gwyneth?!" He shouted at the bandit. When there was no answer he punched the bandit in the gut and shook him violently. "ANSWER ME! Where are the women and children of this village?!" "They were...taken...for our enlightened in the mines.." the bandit answered painfully. "The new world....is...comii-" his words trailed off, bandit's body went limp at Ulrich's hands. The commander dropped the corpse without further thought. He stared at the bandit's corpse, visibly troubled by what he found out. As Ulrich was trying to think what to make of this all, Victor ordered the cook and blacksmith to help gather the dead and bury them. Eventually Ulrich also joined in on taking care of the dead, praying for every single one while working. He didn't touch Ori's dead retinue members, Ulrich didn't want to disrespect the foreigners with Elusian prayers and customs. Victor, spoke up after a moment to all, trying to dispel the awkward silence. "Good fighting, all of you." He grimaced in pain, still holding his sore miracle healed wound. "Never seen magic like that or such foreign fighting styles. If only I hadn't been so careless, really wanted to have a piece of these rotten bastards." He looked at his wound and shifted his position a little. "Also, did that ferret talk?" He looked at Benjamin, slight smile on his face amused by his cape. "You cast some spell I didn't see, witch?" He asked of Ferifan. Gwyneth's crying had grown more quiet at this point, she was getting herself back together apparently, calming herself in quiet prayer inside the carriage. The squire that was named Ollie was making progress in getting the horses, jogging to and fro trying to calm the animals and gather them around the carriage. @Shadhunter @Maleth @Colapse @GrimFritz @TuskatheDaemonKilla @Vlayden @BloodySoulStealer @OgrynLord @Valonox
Urghak pulled the dead animal aside a little more and cleared the path for the carriage before closing its eyes and checking himself for any open wounds. Satisfied he climbed up a nearby tree and disappeared into the vegetation out of sight of the rest of the group, shortly pushing his head out above the canopy and resting there to watch the roads.
"I ain' no damn spell, Sir." The little thing spoke up, looking around for.. Something to jump up on, and instead just stood there on the dirt. "I think I'll like the name, Benjamin-- I, I've been, ah.. In the castle, alot. For the past two years, so~, I thought~...." "I'd come along! Better than stickin in there, being treated like some, doll or somethin' from the woman I was captive under. Anyway, we're wastin' time. Anythin' out there we might wanna get to doin' while we're here? Like, findin' out what these 'Enlightened' in their mines are?"
Shaila ran her hand up and down Gwyneth's back for a moment after she'd helped her into the carriage. "Maybe she was pampered..." Shaila began in response to Ulrich. "But this would scar your average person. Most aren't hardened like we are..." She glanced at the squires an nodded in their direction before she turned back to Gwyneth for a brief moment. "You did good Gwyneth. You did really good. Though, I have to be honest. This isn't going to get easier moving forward. But knowing that, if you ever need me, for anything, just call, I swear I'll be there. No matter the cost." She smiled at Gwyneth one last time before she departed and made her way over to the squires. She knelt down next to them and looked the wound over for a moment. She lifted the wounded squire's chin a bit so she could lock eyes with him. "You're going to be alright. I'll fix it. Just trust me." Another soft smile. She turned back to his leg before she gently placed her hands on the wound. She took in a deep breath to calm herself. For the moment, there was nothing but her and the squire. No movement, no sound, no one else. She closed her eyes. Whereas Elisa's earlier displays of magic were quick bursts of unshaped energy, Shaila couldn't afford to be so quick. She pulled the energy into herself and stifled it before pushing it through her hands at a rather slow pace. The energy continued to flow until it reached her fingertips, and from there it poured out onto the wound as a sort of faint blue light though small traces of white and gold could be seen. The energy steamed inward as it bypassed the flesh for the moment. It seemed to wrap itself around the bone and within it. The bone slowly pulled itself back together as the energy flooded the various cracks and fractures before becoming bone itself. She took in another deep breath. The light could be seen as it swirled around just beneath the flesh as it looked for any more internal wounds and upon the discovery of any, it would do the same as it had for the bone, filling any gaps in the flesh before becoming one with the body. Exactly as it was before. With the internal damage cared for, the light dimmed below the skin before the visible wounds began to glow as they were filled with the same light from within. It moved in a circular pattern as the wound was filled, a faint mix of blue, white, and gold. It appeared to be something thicker than water in the way it moved and swirled. Only once every injury had been filled would the pattern change. The light swirled slower, and slower, until finally, it ceased to move and it slowly became that which it had merged with, and flesh replaced the light that was once there. With the last of the energy exhausted, just enough to tend to the wound, no more, no less. Shaila sighed heavily as she steadied herself with one of her hands. She looked to the squire and gave a soft laugh. "See? You're alright."
Gunther upon finishing collecting the populous' bodies and let the their prays be heard to their god. He left them and walked over to Ulrich and patted his hand onto his shoulder. "I shall secure the perimeter my wounds will heal don't tend to me unless it is truly bad if you need me I shall be walking around the edges of the village. I shall protect us friends. Come and get me when we are ready for departure or dinner..." Gunther slid his arm off Ulrichs shoulder then walked away from carriage to the edge of the town patrolling watching waiting.
With the horse pulled off the injured squire and Shaila attending to him using some kind of magic Ferdinand walked over and picked up his axe. His injuries hurt but as a priest he had duties he couldn't ignore, the dead towns folk needed to be given a proper burial and eulogy. He would need something to dig the graves perhaps he could barrow one from the carriage or find one somewhere in the town. He also noticed a talking ferret, under normal circumstances he would be quite curious as to how such an abomination came to be but right now he had better things to do. He walked over to where Ulrich, Victor, and the black smith had buried the dead making a small prayer of his own. Once done he ventured further into the town to begin searching the buildings, though the chances were beyond slim he might actually find a survivor hidden in some dark crevice or secret basement. Though the main purpose of the search was for a digging tool for his own use so the labor to dig the graves would be made that much more personal.
