Noburo was about to proceed with his forward movement when he saw the spear coming his way. A painful grunt followed, his flesh undoubtedly bruised but thankfully the armor held and his leg wasn't pierced. His momentarily lack of focus allowed for the second bandit to approach unseen and he would probably be in a world of hurt if not for Cyntheria. Taking a single step backward and moving his sword in a position to strike at the bandit on the side, he saw that his companion had things under control - of course, she was hit but the Kensei had complete confidence in her abilities to slay the attacker and it would be insulting if he was there to "hold her hand". Satisfied in Cyntheria's combat capabilities, the Samurai turned his attention back on the one who threw the spear at him. Rising his sword up above his head, he fell in first steps of Ji Gen Ryu, the general style used by warriors wielding a nodachi, which focuses on quick overhead strikes to decimate your opponent's defenses, similarly how a polearm would be used (given the fact this kind of a sword was usually used in similar way due to its length). Going on the offense, Noburo attacked the bandit in front of him, slicing at him from above in as many strikes needed before his guard would break and his head gets cut in two.
Ori ducked a blow from one of the madmen, slicing upwards with his knife cutting deep into the man's thigh as he raised himself up and slashed his neck in one fluid movement. He parried an overhead axe blow from one of the warriors and retaliated with a swift slice to the abdomen before pushing in with a powerful elbow to the neck. Sweat started pouring from his head as he and his retinue fought the horde, he pushed forward not knowing he was surrounding himself with enemies. He sidestepped a spear thrust at him and sliced the man's hand cutting deep into his finger bones forcing him to drop his spear, he slammed the pommel of his sword into the man's side, feeling a rib being broken as he finished him off with a clean cut to the head, the blade dragging from his dome to chin. He turned his attention towards his men, feeling cocky and arrogant "Pull back, we'r-" a shadow was cast as he turned around to see an axe falling towards him. Ori managed to dodge enough that it only bit into his shoulder, pain flared as he was spun sideways, his vision going red, heart beating faster and faster. He tried to swipe at the man with his sword but was easily parried, he parried deathblow after deathblow, strength decreasing with every hack. But, he felt a boot dig into his side as he was launched backwards into the dirt, head slamming against the ground with a sickening thwack. He felt his world go round as he groaned in pain.
After stumbling back from the punch Cyntheria chuckled softly to bring her sword to her face and lift the mask to lick a small bit of blood off her blade. She let the mask go back and smirked. "I will show you the difference between a bitch and what I am you pathetic waste of a life." Her smirk turned to a smile and small laugh as she swung her blades. One for the throat and the other for his gut and speaking to Noburo in there tounge. "Noburo are you okay and should I scout the area after for any supplies to heal everyone?"
Ferdinand reacted to the blows from the madmen by first stabbing the spike at the tip of his axe into the throat. A quick move to the right and the man's throat was torn out as the blade traveled quickly to meet another man's head cleaving it off. As another came behind him Ferdinand swung a heady gauntlet covered fist at the man's face breaking his nose and causing him to fall over in pain. With enough time Ferdinand pulled up into the air and came down with the hammer end breaking open the man's skull. A forth charged at him only to be met with a gauntlet covered fist as Ferdinand's over arm swung the axe for a fourth time this tike sticking into the man's stomach causing entrails to spill out as Ferdinand pulled it out of him. With that done he continued to lay into those that drew his rage unleashing a brutal fighting style developed by his order.
Gunther quickly his axe into one of the skulls of the mad warriors. Then looked at the bandits pulling the spear that was in his arm and smiled to the made warriors he cocked his axe back for as much energy as possible and swung to injury or make them fall to their knees. A gust of white air surrounded his axe for a split second while he swung.
Gunther and Ferdinand were only against two mad warriors at the moment. One of them jumped at Ferdinand but met with the knights axe swing mid air, effectively killing the maniac on the spot. Before Ferdinand managed to recover fully from his swing he got shoulder tackled from his blindside by a bandit. The Nordlich staggered and fell on his one knee. When he turned to face the attacker, it was just in time to block an axe aimed at his face. (@TuskatheDaemonKilla you can emote killing the one madman if you wish.) Gunther was charged by one mad warrior left in their vicinity but alone the maniac wasn't much of an opponent and was easily killed. There was no other opponents near his position but the one bandit fighting Ferdinand. (@Valonox you can emote killing one madman if you so wish.) Shaila's shield bash was successful enough to free her shield and send her assailant back. The other bandit assaulting her was still recovering from his heavy swing to properly react to Shaila's sudden sprint toward the chieftain. Two bandit's picked themselves up and ran after her. One of them was shot by Elisa's wrist crossbow, it hit him in the ribs, slowing him down severely. When Shaila reached the chieftain, he quickly spun to face her and counter her attacks. He was an experienced warrior and didn't fall to all her feints. The chieftain saw an opening and used the blunt side of his axe to deliver a vicious strike at her sword arm. Pain engulfed her limb and it felt numb for a few brief moments, almost forcing her to drop her weapon. Before she could properly recover she was tackled to the ground by one of the bandits who ran after her. The one who was shot in the ribs arrived soon after and began kicking her in the head as the other attempted to hold Shaila down. Luckily Ulrich was there and shoulder checked the kicking bandit aside and used his greatsword in a murderstroke to kill the one on top of Shaila, spilling blood all over her. He kicked the bandit's corpse off of her and quickly helped her up. "Eyes open, Wayfarer!" He said and charged the other bandit remaining. @Shadhunter Meanwhile, Victor was given breathing room and tried to swing a sword at the chieftain. It glanced the bandit's back, it did only slight pain and annoyance and Victor was quickly knocked down by sword pommel strike to the head. Hovering over the wounded knight the chieftain was about to strike a killing blow but got backstabbed by Elisa, inflicting a severe stabbing wound on his back. He cursed and shouted in pain, wildly swinging his weapons behind him. Elisa managed to dodge the sword but his axe hit her in the shoulder, drawing blood and leaving a nasty gash. "You'll die for that, you whore!" He stumbled in pain between his words, fueled by adrenaline and anger he attacked Elisa. @Maleth By the carriage Ori was knocked down. The one bandit who had kicked him now had a clear path to the carriage and greedily went for it. Opening the door he laughed and shouted at Gwyneth: "There you are! You're coming with us!" Gwyneth panicked and screamed. She frantically began kicking at the bandit. As he tried to pull her out of the carriage, he was finding it difficult when his victim was kicking him repeatedly. "Stop struggling, you wench!" Benjamin was right above this, still unnoticed, and could easily attack the bandit if he wished. @Vlayden Ori's retinue's two warriors were killed defending him from the bandit and two mad warriors who had disengaged from Urghak, but bought him enough time to get up. The last one alive of his retinue managed to shove the bandit at Ori. He managed to quickly stab the bandit in the back with his dagger but was hit by an elbow to the side of his head, forcing him to stagger away. Enraged, the bandit charged at Ori but the desert warrior was ready to defend himself. The last man of his retinue was holding his position against the two mad warriors. @GrimFritz Urghak was facing just one mad warrior, who wasn't much of an opponent alone, managing to offer minimal resistance to the savage barbarian. Near him on the other side of the carriage was Ori fighting and on the other Noburo and Cyntheria were engaged by four bandits. (@OgrynLord you can describe killing one mad warrior if you wish.) The bandit that Noburo focused his attack on tried to block and evade the strikes. He was somewhat successful at start but misjudged the sword's length and the force behind Noburo's swing and got his hand cut clean off. The next swing sliced his chest open and the sorry bandit fell to his knees, most surely soon dead from the bleeding. Before Noburo could raise his guard properly up he was hit to his side with a sword. It REALLY hurt but the samurai blocked any further attacks directed at him. He was now facing two bandits, who seemed to be planning on overwhelming him by charging from two sides at once. (@Colapse You can emote killing one bandit if you want.) Cyntheria was still fighting the one bandit who punched her in the face, her blades connected and drew blood from her opponent's gut. The bandit grunted in pain and rushed her, violently pushing her against the carriage. She felt the air escape her lungs and the world spun for a moment, it didn't help when she got punched in the gut as well. Cyntheria did manage to gain breathing room with a quick slash of her blades, forcing the bandit to evade her swing. @BloodySoulStealer OOC Enemies 2 mad warriors at Ori's position 7 bandits. One fighting Ferdinand, one at chieftain's position, three at Noburo's and Cyntheria's position, two at Ori's position (one trying to pry Gwyneth out.)
"HEY! ASSFACE!" A small, yet certainly loud and boisterous voice said from above; it wasn't long before he cried out a small 'battlecry' of sorts, jumping down upon the bandit and gnawing away at him. First attempting to chew out an eye, or scratch at it, it didn't matter to him - before he then slid down into the poor bastard's clothing, clawing and nipping at him out of sight. Benjie certainly wasn't going to kill the poor man, but it definitely was going to be painful; not to mention the loud yelling from beneath the clothing. "WHO FIGHTS A LONE WOMAN, EH? SOME HORSEFACED, MUD-EATING, VULTURE-LOVING COWARDLY SUNUVABITCH THAT DON' WANNA GET NO TRUE CHALLENGE?! C'MON, GIT OUTTA 'ERE! I'LL BITE YER KNEECAPS OFF, YOU INBRED, FISHBRAINED HELLSPAWN!" -- The list of insults and threats continued on throughout, though the message was quite clear, and just as bizarre. Something small was torturing the poor man beneath his shirt, and insulting him for it.
Noburo felt the familiar pain once again and the softness which came with it. He was definitely bleeding now and only his armor saved him from certain death there, although who was to say if that wouldn't be the case in couple of next moments, not to mention that he most definitely needed to be properly bandaged afterwards. Of course, in the end pain was just an illusion of the senses and Noburo was trained to overcome it, just like he overcame the fear of death upon taking the mantle of a Samurai and starting his travel down that particular road. All of this was known to the Kensei but it came as an afterthought, for he already entered mushin, the mental state every practitioner of his skill fell into during combat. It would roughly translate "no mind", a state where the combatant was free of fear, anger, doubt, and was completely free to act towards an opponent without hesitation or any sort of a disturbance. Therefore, as the bandits closed it, Noburo parried the first one's attack with a strong blow of his own, intent on pushing the bandit away before focusing on the second opponent. Quick strike to the left pushed the attacker's sword out of the way and the Kensei drove in, using the long handle of his nodachi as a weapon and slamming it into bandit's nose. Before he could even reel back, Noburo followed in with his attack and went downwards, slashing past (and below) his opponent but in such a way that the blade of his sword sliced through the muscle and tissue on the bandit's right upper biceps and straight through his Brachial artery, not to mention tendons and median nerve which completely made bandit's right arm useless. But Noburo didn't stop at that as he ended his dash behind his now stricken opponent where with a grace of a large cat, drove his nodachi upwards in a wide diagonal slash that opened bandit's back from kidney to shoulder after which he proceeded to kick the flailing body towards the second attacker in an attempt to distract him before driving his large sword forward in a frontal stab that he aimed at second bandit's heart.
Shaila gritted her teeth as she slowly made her way back to her feet. She nodded in thanks to Ulrich. She glanced around as she flexed her sword arm, everything still spinning from the kicks. Then she heard a familiar voice. "Gwyneth..." She muttered before she shook her head and made for the carriage, intent on plunging her blade through the bandits side while he was distracted. She regretted leaving Elisa with the chieftain but if all went well, this bandit wouldn't take long to dispatch and Shaila would be back at her side.
Urghak guffawed at the lone opponent, ducking under his clumsy swing before putting the entire weight of his body into one solid blow connecting to the victims face shattering it at first as it seemed to explode with blood accompanied by a wet crunch. The warrior stumbled forwards and fell, the bloody dis-figuration that was now his face hitting the earth with a wet squelch. Urghak ushered the chef and the blacksmith to the back of the carriage to defend the lady and quickly sprinted to the back, hardly containing his laughter at the warrior beaten by a ferret. He must have been a particularly dumb one to leave himself open to that. Urghak left the chef and the smith to help up Gwyneth and ran again (albeit slower) towards Ferdinand's (@TuskatheDaemonKilla ) position, slamming the weight of his body into his friends attacker hoping to buy him some time.
