Ah yes because every assailant immediately gives up stops shooting and doesn't pursue after you get to cover one time ....thats how all the seiges end the players defending just sit on the wall rolling and the attackers stoip trying to attack entirely >.> i think im done with this "conversation"
A shield isnt an every time damage reduction, it needs to be up and inbetween you and your enemy, it also has a limit to the amount of shots it can soak (force), it can be flanked .... it doesnt protect against some weapons .... Now the skillcap for innitiating that form of dodging shots is much lower ... but its the same mechanic. a JPA // GA // TAC // wet marmoset /// etc. all cause the same dps drop if they dodge the same amount of shots regardless of how they do it. you are willing to admit that if a shield stops 2 bullets it drops dps more than toughness but not if it isnt a shield .... hmmmm..... :/ FBM the point wasnt to compare thier relative likelyhood of being implemented it was to use a very direct and obvious red herring in your logic that you couldnt refute to bring you back to my point.
because a shield blocked shot is the same as a rolled away shot they both reduce the enemies dps the same. One you are arguing with one you would have to be a potatoe to argue with .... so i brought it up to show the inherent flaw in your argument. Rolls have iframes and if used correctly, with smart approach vectors that contain cover and roll past opportunities they out dps reduce toughness for less LP.
oh you edited your post after ok... nice you dont need to sell your shield to buy more toughness tho so your point is invalid i ve just seen that you edited almost all ur posts noice
A Shield doesnt protect you from everything, hence stacking Stamina is a good idea. Makes sense if you like Non-Sequitors.
so for you +2 stamina is better than a shield ? What a weird choice shield GA is not the best melee class in game because of its stamina ...
No it still isn't and you call me stubborn. Let me ask you a question im sure you will just ego anyway. But be honest with yourself how many times have you consistently maintained headshots while a person is in iframes and rolling or did you miss some more shots, and have to retrain on their head ? you lost dps even if you never lost them from your retical on roll ..... dis you lose enough to matter ? no probably not since theres no freaking recoil in this game .....That can change ...continuing to spam fire can have more of a cost if we want it to .... and i think it should. you literally cant possibly maintian the same level of dps on an enemy during a roll .... because of the iframes ... those shots HAVE to miss, and then you have to track them in the roll and shoot them when they stand up. in our present meta this doesnt matter because while you fire your gun isnt recoiling at all ..... so if they dont roll somewhere that FURTHER makes you miss shots it only delayed the inevitable .... but it still reduced your dps more than toughness would have ... if they just stood thier start still and didnt roll they might have dpsed you back some but they still would have lost .... so ask yourself a question then .... If they stand there they die no matter what (unless you shank shots because theres no recoil). If they roll in the open but not past you they die no matter what (because the reocil doesnt accumulate while they roll so you still dps them after they get up. is there really a choice for them and is your win really "skill based" or "as skill based as you've tricked yourself into believing". the fact of the matter is that stamina mathematically will increase you TTL more than buying actual TTL stats will .... sure you cant fight back unless you use it really well but the point remains the same ... thats how poor the LP returns are on our TTL stats.
